You had sat on the couch in Hakamata's house for a solid five minutes before you turned on the large TV. You flipped to the news channel that was currently covering the fire live.

"Are you, like ya know sane right now y/n?" Sonnie asked creeping up to you on the couch.

The puppy was sitting at the other end of the couch where Hawks had been. "I think that warm things make me feel better and this set is warm so you can sit on it if you want." the puppy said in a sweet and child like voice.

Sonnie snickered and you let a small smile cross your face. "Sure pup, but I'm gonna grab something to eat first."

When you returned Sonnie was rolling a small plastic ball back and forth between herself and the puppy.

Omg, this is so cute. Almost makes me forget my house is currently burning to the ground.

You sat down on the couch next to the puppy, watching the TV as the anchor continued to fill in the audience about the current situation of the fire and the villains who started it.

It turns out Hawks definitely lives up to being one of the fastest hero's because he had already captured the villains who were responsible for the fire.

Best Jeanist was seen talking to cop's and getting civilians out of the surrounding area and to safe places.

Hawks was also working to get civilians out of the way and to safety.

You sat on the couch, thinking about every item you ever owned and how it's most likely all ready burned to a crisp or burning.

This can't be real.

You looked over at Sonnie and the puppy who are now wrestling, though Sonnie was going easy on the pup.

At least Sonnie and myself weren't in there went the fire was lit.

A small smile grew on your face, happy that the fire wasn't able to hurt Sonnie or yourself, and according to the news not a single civilian was injured or killed up to this point so that's good.

Everyone was able to get out safe and that's all that really matters.

"Listen pup, if you keep fighting like this you won't ever be able to join my street cat army!" Sonnie said, snapping you back to reality.

"The puppy is not joining your army Sonnie." you said, closing your eyes and eating whatever food you had grabbed from Hakamata's kitchen.

"Wow! How did you get that in your mouth without even looking!?" the puppy asked.

"It's one of my hidden talents." you said smiling down at the puppy who was looking up to you with wonder.

"Wooowwww!" the puppy had stars in their eyes as they looked at you, their little mouth hung open.

"Hey pup," Sonnie said from behind the small fluffy dog.

"Y-yeah?" the puppy asked, snapping out of what ever trance they were in.

"Do you have a name, because we just keep calling you pup and puppy?" Sonnie asked.

The puppy sat down on the couch cushion and started to think for a minute before saying, "I think I'll just go by Puppy or Pup because it's what people have been calling me."

"I don't really remember Hakamata telling me about a name and if he did then I forgot." you said while continuing to eat.

Sonnie hummed before pouncing on the pup and starting to play with them.

You smiled at the happy scene before looking back to the TV where you saw firefighters putting out the once large fire.

By now it has gone down quite a lot from how big it once was which it a good thing, obviously.

...

Time had passed and Hawks was allowed to leave the burnt houses.

He flew all the way back to Hakamata's house to check on you and see if you were alright. He also wanted to ask you if you wanted to stay over at his house.

Because ya know, can't live in a house if it's burnt to the ground.

Anyways, Hawks made it to the apartment widow and knocked on it.

You came into view, most likely coming from the kitchen, and unlocked the window.

"Sup' bird boy?" you said as you closed the window.

Hawks walked over to the couch and patted the puppy on the head.

After playing with eachother, both Sonnie and the puppy had passed out on the couch. You on the other hand couldn't even think about sleeping. Mostly because the couch was hard as fuck but also because you were worried and scared.

"Did you just call me bird boy?" Hawks asked you as he leaned on the back of the couch.

You looked at him and nodded, face blank as you walked over to him. "Would you rather me call you love or hun?" you asked before a smirk spread on your face. "Oh, what about big bird?"

Hawks look slightly defeated before responding. "Honestly, you can call me what ever you want as long as I can call you what I want." he said before continuing, "But this isn't what I wanted to talk about. I was going to ask if you wanted to stay at my place until you figure out what to do about your house."

You nodded to yourself before responding. "If I could then that would be great." you smiled as you looked up to make eye contact with him. "Thank you, love. I'll try to get out of your hair or wings as soon as possible."

Hawks smiled. "No rush, you should just try and get some rest for now and tomorrow I can help you out with figuring out what to do about your house."

"More like what's left of it." you said, walking over to scoop Sonnie in your arms.

You turned to Hawks. "Shall we, big bird?"

"Okay, I know I said you came call me what ever but can you please not call me that?" he whined while walking over to unlock the window then to carry you.

You only smirked and said, "If you say you don't like it then it just makes me want to call you it more."
