Fast forward time! *insert clock hands spinning around like crazy*
After the house fire Hawks asked if you'd want to stay with him till you found a new house, or until your original one was rebuilt.
But, after a week of living with Hawks at his home you started to search for houses less and less.
You and Hawks started to grow closer and closer and Sonnie was warming up to him. She still claimed to hate him though.
Then after living with Hawks for three weeks you both had agreed to continue to live together. So you sold the land where your house was once built.
Hawks' house was turned into all three of yours home in a short amount of time.
But, after living like this for a month, you and Hawks were closer then ever.
You spent all the time you could with him and he did the same with you.
You'd both go out on dates a least twice a week.
When you would both get home late you'd spend all the time you could on just cuddling with eachother and talking about random things.
You would text Hakamata on how you were doing because he started to act like your father or an over protective brother after the fire. You would also drop Sonnie off at his house or he would drop Puppy off at yours and Hawks house so the cat and dog could have little play dates.
Sonnie would often act like a parent of Puppy and would spend all her time teaching the small fluff ball everything he want to know about.
Anyway, back to you and Hawks.
After you had been living with him for around two and a half months he told you his name. Like his real name.
Honestly, you had never really minded calling him Hawks. Never questioned when he would tell you his name or why he hadn't told you yet. Instead you sat there, waiting patiently for the day he would.
"Takami Keigo." was all he said as you sat in front of him a smile spreading on your face. "Why are you smiling?" Keigo asked.
"Your name, it sounds so cute and it fits you so well!" you said smiling.
"I'm happy you finally decided to open up, birdie boy." Sonnie said from the couch.
Keigo sighed and like the dramatic over sized child he is, slouched over his own knees and let his head hang in front of his legs.
You laughed at the dramatic action and Sonnie snickered.
You held out a hand and placed it on Keigo's shoulder. He looked up at you with puppy dog eyes.
You smiled down at him and said, "I don't care about how long you took to tell me. I understand that telling someone your name can be important for a hero so I would have never even thought to rush you to tell me."
He smiled in reply as he straighted his posture so he was sitting up straight.
"Now, shall we head out to the clinic to check on Sander, Keigo?" you asked, a smirk mixed with a smile on your face.
Keigo's eyes widened and stars started to shine in his eyes as he processed what you said. "Y-yeah! Let's go!" he said excitedly, jumping up and grabbing your wrist to drag you along with him.
...
It had been more then a while since Sander was moved to the clinic where you work.
You had originally planned to take him in and have him live with you and Sonnie, but then the whole house fire thing happened.
You didn't want to force Sander into a new house with both Sonnie and Keigo as new housemates. Mostly because he has trust issues and with you taking care of him, you gained his trust and thought that if it was only you and Sonnie living with him it would be fine.
Keigo, luckily, had no problem with adopting Sander and was more then happy to take it slow so he could gain Sander's trust.
But now, after all the time of bonding and trust gaining, Sander was ready to move in with you and Keigo.
"Hello Blue, Hana." you said while walking in the clinic with Keigo close behind.
Hana looked up with a smile on her face as always and said hello to both you and Hawks. "Hey y/n! Hi Hawks!" Blue shouted from her place behind the front desk, a large smile present on her face as she waved at the two of you.
You waved back and so did Keigo as you both walked to the back to get Sander.
When you got to where Sander was, he was already awake and eating fresh food and water.
"Sup' sandman!?" Keigo said said he neared the dog.
"I'm fine, thanks for asking birdie boy." Sander responded.
You smiled as you grabbed a collar and leash for Sander. "Okay Sander, ready to leave?" you said.
"Better now then never." he said getting up onto all four paws and shaking his body before walking over to you.
"Ya' think now that Sander is staying with us, Sonnie won't attack me and stalk me while I'm home?" Keigo asked as you attached the leash to the collar then put the collar on Sander.
"Maybe, but Sonnie tends to be somewhat unpredictable." you said before all three of you left the clinic, talking on the way.
...
When your group of three finally got home, you let Sander roam the house after removing his collar.
"I think Sonnie and Sander are like complete opposites." Keigo said out of the blue.
You gave him a questioning look and said, "Explain, love."
Keigo smirked at the pet name before continuing. "Sander is really calm and chill, while Sonnie would and could, rage a war with blood lust permanently in her eyes."
You laughed at the description Hawks gave and patted his back. "I think you've been having one to many nightmares about Sonnie and her army."
He nodded, a fake sad expression appearing on his face. "So many sleepless nights," he looked to you and smirked. "good thing I have you to comfort me!" he tackled you in a hug and kissed your four head before running off to find Sander.
That man is gonna give me a heart attack.
You smiled to yourself before following after the bird man named Keigo.
