Sheila

Do I drop off all these gifts before I go to the meeting? The rain was now seeping into my clothes through my armor. I groaned inwardly, I hated this weather. I looked up at the sky, I guess the smell of rain was nice. I smiled, looking down at what was my hands.

Maybe these things were magical? They felt powerful, something that I'm not worthy of holding. It's like their power was a song and I could only feel the vibrations not the words. Never the matter.

I flinched as I heard my named called. "Sheila!" Someone shouted from behind me. Though I knew the voice before I turned. There is only one person who would shout my name like that.

I turned on my heels to see Xion hauling ass in my direction. "Xion?" I questioned, placing the shield on my hip.

He grabbed my arm and started running with me behind him. "Wha—," I gasped as I fell into a run.

"You're late for the meeting too, right? He gasped through his breaths. Man, if this has gotten him tired, he needs to start running with me and my troops.

Well there goes putting these objects in my tent. "Yeah, I'm late," I said nonchalantly, my minds were currently on other things.

"We need to hurry! Cebrus is talking to the rest of the Generals about the betrayal of Azai. He needs our backup."

Cebrus needed our help?! "Why are we running at this slow pace then? Let's go! Hurry!" I picked up the speed, dragging the heaving Xion behind me.

The instant I entered the tent that was holding the discussion, I was pulling by the arm into the seat besides Zaivinth.

There was a long table and we sat close to the head. Though unlike normal dining tables, the chairs at each head were removed, taken up my someone standing. This was the norm for our meetings.

I looked at the head and noticed that Cebrus was at one, and his advisor was at the other. Together, or rather, the advisor, will be presenting the troubles that Azai has created for the Mythicals.

Why were you so late? Vince asked, giving me a side glance. Did anything happen? He eyed the shield and sword on the ground next to us. Where did you get those? His eyes widen at them.

One, I don't consider myself late if the meeting hadn't started. He chuckled at that. Two, I stumbled across a trio of odd women who gifted me these, I nudged my head in the direction of the items.

I don't know how I feel about you attracting odd people, Sheila. He gave me a side glance as Xion groaned next to me, urging the meeting to start. Xion, I have came to conclusion is a man child.

It's not like I try. I lightly pinched his arm, teasing him.

Anyways, don't look now, but the General next to us—, I looked around Vince, he saw me do it sighed. It was a fae brunette brute with a large scar running down his cheek. Azai's General.

Why are we sitting next to him? He is going to blow up once he heard his king is being accused of betrayal. I instinctively started to scoot away from him.

Zaivinth wrapped an arm around me pulling be close to him again. In case you forgot, we are the strongest in the room, making us the most capable of containing him. These seatings are pre-arranged for us to sit in them.

I wanted to let out a groan. Containing a furious fae was not something I was planning to do this Sunday afternoon. He smiled at that and looked at me.
