Sing for me

You were sitting in the meadow of your territory. It was a beautiful late summer day and the temperature was warm. You sang a soft lullaby your mother had taught you while the sun was making your skin glimmer. Your red eyes watched the clouds form different shapes and be drifted away by the wind. It was a quiet and peaceful world.
That was until a snarl disturbed the peace. A sweet smell hit your nose and you jumped up immediately. Three newborn vampires had entered your territory and where completely driven by thirst. They started their attack, but their inexperience is what made them make a fatal mistake. You fought them off and even when it seemed you were about to lose, you used your ability. It was a special ability to use the electric forces in the air and send them towards the enemy, paralyzing or even destroying them completely. That is why you loved to stay up high in the mountains, where the discharge was the easiest to obtain.
You let the energy of the lightening course through your body and send it directly towards the newborns, roasting and killing them off in one easy hit. However, the blow had tired you out completely and you collapsed on the ground, no longer able to move and slowly losing your consciousness.

"Is she alright?" a heavenly voice said. It was still dark around you, and your eyelids were too heavy to open your eyes yet.
"I do not know. Since when can vampires lose their consciousness?" another female voice said.
"I am sure it has happened before. I think we should just wait until she wakes up." A male voice said. A small hand ran through the locks of your hair. You slowly opened your eyes, only to find the most beautiful woman you have ever encountered hanging above you. Her hair was strawberry blond and fell in beautiful curls besides het face. But the thing that had completely mesmerised you were her eyes. They weren't red like yours, but they were one of pure gold. A gentle smile broke free around her full lips, showing her perfectly, white teeth.
"I am glad you are awake. You gave us quite the fright there. What is your name?" she asked.
"Y/N." you said, still confused as to why you were laying on a couch inside a house filled with strange vampires.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Tanya, and this is my family. My sisters Kate and Irina, and Carmen and Eleazar. Are you alright?" she asked. You nodded your head and carefully explained what happened.
"Well, do not worry. You are safe now. I promise." Tanya said giving you a wink.

The bond between you two could no longer be denied after spending a few weeks with the Denali family. Everytime you saw Tanya it was as if you were alive, as if you had opened your eyes for the first time. And it eventually even lead to your first kiss, in the same meadow where you had collapsed.
And one afternoon, the two of you were tangled into eachothers arms, enjoying eachothers company.
"Sing for me, please?" Tanya asked.
"What?" you asked, not sure if you had heard her correctly.
"Sing for me."
"Very well then." And you sang your mother lullaby once more, completely calming you both down, and making your bond even stronger.
