You watched Caitlin sleeping for what would be the last time. It was comforting to see that she was sleeping peaceful. Something that wasn't going to happen in a while after what you were planning to do. The sunrise still hadn't appeared so it was still quite early. Perfect time to do everything that you needed to do. Not wanting to wake Caitlin up, you gave her a kiss on the cheek and headed out of your shared apartment and to STAR labs.

No one was suppose to be there but Cisco was apparently working on a device that could have not have waited.

"I know what you're planning to do. Caitlin and Barry are not going to be happy."

"I'm doing this for them. The world needs Barry Allen and I'm sure Caitlin will find someone that will make her happy. Someone that is not going to cause her more pain than anything else."

"You really are going to do this. There's nothing I can say to stop you."

"I'm sorry but my mind is made up. I need the device you built for Barry to drain his powers."

Cisco pulled out a safe that scanned his fingerprint. He took it out and made his way over to you, giving you the tightest hug he's ever given you.

"I'll miss you."

"I'll miss you too."

Not wanting to waste another minute, you drove over to Barry's place. Silently thanking Cisco for telling Iris to answer the door.

"I can't let you do this (y/n). Barry is going to be furious with me if he finds out that I could have stopped you. Lets not forget about your girlfriend. She'll kill me."

"None of that is going to happen Iris. Barry will understand and Caitlin will forget about me. The world doesn't need me. They need Barry Allen. It's better for me to take his place."

"It's your choice but know that Barry and Caitlin are not going to stop finding a way to bring you back, only to kill you again for the stupid thing you're planning to do."

You chuckle softly and pull her into a hug.

"I'm going to miss you a lot Iris. Please take care of them."

"Take care of yourself."

She led you upstairs where Barry was sleeping. The extraction process was quick and easy so he didn't wake up as yiu removed his powers. You thanked Iris once again and drover off as far away as possible to safely give yourself the powers. Once you made sure that no one was around to get hurt, you began the painful process of getting his powers. You were quite weak by the time the machine had finished. Despite your weakness and lack of being able to control his powers, you called for the Speedforce.

"Where is Barry?"

"I'm here to take his place. He doesn't deserve to be trapped in the speed force. The world needs him"

The fact that the speed force had taken form of your mother did not deter you. The only thing you had in mind was to take Barry's place.

"It is not up to you to decide who I can take."

"My brother has done nothing wrong. He doesn't have the powers you wish to take, so you can only take me."

She nods and holds out her hand.

"Very well then. I accept you as his replacement."

You took her hand and began to make your way to the portal.

"(Y/n)!!"

The last thing you seen is Barry and Caitlin running to the portal to stop you. Even if you had wanted to go with them, the deal had been made. Spare Barry's life and take yours. There was no turning back.
