Maleficent glared at you as Aurora talked to her about how she met you.
"I know you hate strangers to be visiting this area but she told me that she's the only one of her kind."
"Is she?"
"Yes, she doesn't have anywhere else to go. Her home was attacked and she was only to get out of there because of her parents. Are you not the one that always preaches about giving everyone a chance."
Maleficent looked to you, giving you a once over before turning to Aurora.
"May I speak to you in private, Aurora?"
Aurora lets out a sigh and nods.
"Of course. We won't take long."
She tells you. You watch as Maleficent carries Aurora to a cliff. You're barely able to look at them because of the sun but they can clearly see you. While they're gone, you look around the forest, taking in everything that was around you. It was quite beautiful and honestly you didn't want to leave you. You hoped that Maleficent was as kind as Aurora mentioned to be.
"How did you even find her, Aurora? It's physically impossible to arrive here on foot without magic."
"She heard of us and figured this would be a safe place. I stumbled upon her sleeping near the lake. She was shivering and quite hungry so I have her some of your clothes and food."
"That explains why the clothes seemed familiar. My clothes are one of a kind."
"I know mother. I hope you don't mind that I gave her some of your stuff."
Maleficent sighs and shakes her head.
"I do not mind, Aurora. Please, just next time, give me a call when you find a stranger. She might not mean harm but what if the next person does. I do not want anyone to hurt you."
"I'm sorry, mother. I did not mean to scare you."
Maleficent nods and carries Aurora back down to you.
"We have a warm bed and food back at our castle. You're welcome to stay as long as you need to."
"Thank you, Maleficent. The two of you are too kind."

To make up for the fact that you were living free in their castle. You would do random chores around the castle so that you wouldn't feel like you were taking advantage of their kindness. Aurora tried to get you to stop and then gave up when you refused to stop.
"I do not understand why you insist on cleaning. I can clean this castle in a minute if I wanted to."
You chuckle at her words and move to lean against the broom that you were using.
"That's a neat trick. Maybe you could teach it to me?"
"Teach you?"
You give her a nod, laughing when you see her look of shock.
"I was kidding. Aurora has told me that your magic is a well guarded secret. I respect that."
"I can teach you."
"Oh! You will?"
She nods, smiling a little when it's your turn to be shocked.
"I hope you're a fast learner."

Aurora knew for a fact that Maleficent didn't actually hate you. It was all an act to hide her growing crush on you and she could tell from the fact that Maleficent was actually teaching you how to be better with your magic. It first started off as a serious matter but then she kept hearing laugher and other noises that she had a vague idea of what they were but she didn't want to find out. She had her suspicions of the two of you starting something but she was never able to get anything out of the two of you. That was until she caught the two of you kissing while making breakfast.
"Well good morning to you two!"
"Aurora! You scared us!"
Aurora gives them a smirk as she grabs a plate of what the two of you had already cooked.
"Oh don't mind me. I just came here for some food. Please continue."
"Wait Aurora! It's not what you think!"
Maleficent tries to get her to come back but Aurora had already left.
"Diablo! Guess what?!"
Maleficent just rolls her eyes as she hears Aurora. You just give her a smile and leaned in to kiss her.
"The good news is that we don't have to hide anymore."
Maleficent gives you a smile as she wraps her arms around your neck.
"That is very good news."
