As promised, the two of you started working from home. Lena had went all out on decorating and making the office as comfortable for the two of you to be able to work together. On one side of the office room was your desk with everything that you could ever need to work on your research papers while the other side contained various monitors for Lena to use to develop and test new technology. At the end of the office was a door that led to Lena's lab which was incredibly helpful to have so close as you kept getting closer to the due date.
Lena had tried getting you to stop working when you were literally a week away from giving birth but you refused, saying that you weren't going to stop until it you were dragged to the hospital to give birth. Lena being the amazing and loving wife that she was, relented and just said to give her a call if you ever needed anything to be brought to you.
It was early Thursday morning that you had decided to work in the lab today, Lena was cooped up in her desk but the door between the two rooms was left open so that the two of you could talk. It became a usual occurrence as both of you would always ask each other for new ideas or simply to just discuss a theory that one of you had in mind.
"So I've been looking at Kara's blood to try to develop an antidote for kryptonite and I noticed something unusual. Normally white blood cells increased when they are needed to fight off an infection but whenever I move Kara's blood closer to the kryptonite, the white cell blood decreases so I was thinking....."
Lena frowns when you stop talking. This never happened since once you started talking, you wouldn't stop until you were able to get out your idea.
"(y/n), are you okay?"
She yells to you from the other room.
"...Lena, I think my water broke?"
"Your water broke?" She says a little confused. "Oh my god, it's happening?!"
You can't help but laugh as you already imagine how panicked Lena must be.
"Baby, what did we say? Deep breaths. Now I need you to focus. Go get our bag and we can head down to your car."
"What if Kara flies you to the hospital? It'll be much easier."
"I'm not having Kara fly me! Are you crazy?! Go get the bag and lets go!"

Lena ended up arriving to the hospital within minutes. To distract her from getting nervous about the baby, you made her call Kara and the rest of the group to meet you at the hospital.
As soon as Lena parked the car, you were wheeled to a room to wait for when the baby was ready to come. Lena had been a nervous mess since the beginning so you kicked her out so she wouldn't make you nervous as well. In her place, Alex came in to distract you while Kara went with Lena to the cafeteria to get her something to eat.
"After being married to Lena for 3 years and dating her for 2, I still have so much to know about her. I've never seen her be this nervous."
"I don't blame her. It's such a stressful time. I'm surprised you're not panicky or nervous too."
"Oh, trust me. I'm definitely feeling like it on the inside. I'm just keeping it together for the two of us."

Kara calmly ended the call and turned to Lena.
"So that was Alex, (y/n) is ready to give birth."
Lena's eyes widen and she wipes her mouth clean. She hadn't been able to eat anything but small bites from what Kara had gotten her.
"Lets go!"
Kara quickly piles everything on the tray and goes to throw it away as the two of them rush to your room. Kara stayed outside while Lena walked in.
"You think she's going to pass out in there?"
"Nah, we have to give Lena more credit. She can handle it."
Both Kara and Alex were mildly impressed that Lena waited to hear the name of the baby before passing out.
