Summary: You help save the twelve districts

You were sick and tired of the capitol. Sure, you were part of the elite but that didn't mean you didn't want a better life for yourself. You didn't come to the world only to be living in what you would consider hell and that was bad coming from you. At least the people in hell deserved to live there, the ones here didn't.

With a plan in mind, you set your sights on destroying the capitol from the inside and for that, you had to volunteer.

"I volunteer as tribute!"

There's silence throughout the arena as they all turn to face you. There were a lot of women and men trying to volunteer but they were shocked to see you actually raise your hand. You were the richest woman in the district, you had no reason to volunteer.

The woman at the podium smiled and motioned for you to come forward. She knew a good candidate when she saw one. This was going to be perfect for the show.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! We have our tributes!"

They all cheered and clapped including the boy you were paired up with. All you did was just stare at the camera. There was no reason to celebrate.

Back in the capitol, you set your plan in motion. Using every tactic in your book to listen in on conversations about what the theme of the game would be. You had to survive in order to kill the president. The one and only who still wanted to continue with the horrible tradition. In your process of gaining information, you befriend the girl from district 12. It surprised everyone to see the two tributes from very different district. It had been practically unheard of. So much that they began to speculate when one of you would turn your back on the other.

"I really hate them all. I can't wait to see their faces when the game doesn't go their way."

"That would be the day. For now, we have a part to keep. They think we're going to turn our backs to the other and we need to continue playing that angle. We need to get as many people to watch these games for our plan to be successful."

Katniss nods in agreement. She had at first thought your idea was crazy but as the days continued to pass, the more she gave into the idea of it. She was tired of the whole system. It was time that someone overthrew them.

"You remember what we have to do , right? Haymitch went over the plan with you?"

"He did. I'm not going to forget something as important as that."

You hugged her one last time, making it last longer than any hug you've ever given her.

"Stay safe."

You're both pulled to your respective rooms to gear up before being sent up to the arena.

You stood in the platform as you watched everyone fight the other to get supplies. Never in your immortal life had you seen anything like this. How something like this could happen, completely baffled you. Your father was meant to be someone to protect everyone and yet he let this continue.

"(Y/n)! Come on! We have to go! We can't stay here!"

Katniss sees that you're not responding. She sees a couple of more tributes making their way to you so she drags you out of the open field and into the trees. It's not until she stops that you snap out of your trance.

"I'm sorry, Katniss. I didn't mean to freeze out there."

"It's fine. I got enough supplies for the two of us. We'll make it work."
