Summary: A Poem about Kara
Poem by: Janafo28
What a wonderful creature, God has created, a simple lady, who can't be deteriorated, a cute personality, with delicadeza, and that type of girl will make you go loca. Your image keeps running into my head, with your beautiful sparkling eyes, just like what they've said although you may not be mine for now, I know but here, let me give you my sweet gentle blow.
You've been attracted to Kara ever since she had come into interview you. You could still remember what she had worn and practically everything that she had said. Every single day after, you would replay that hour with her, in your mind. It got to the point that it would distract you from your work and you knew that Kara Danvers was going to be the death of you. You had only known her for an hour and she kept invading your thoughts.
You weren't even friends. She was more like an acquaintance. Always running to you at different events and would greet you. That wasn't enough. You wanted more. You wanted to at least be her friend. Be the one, she came to whenever she needed anything. It's why you had decided to give her your personal number so she could contact you if she ever needed anything. It still had yet to be used but at least Kara knew that she could count on you.
You're angelic face, It makes me go crazy, perfectly combine with your smile, which is so amazing, loving you would always be my hobby and I'll do anything just for you to call me "baby." I may not be a beautiful person, I may not be cute, but I will promise you that I will always tell you the truth, the truth that I love you with all of my heart, and yours will never be torn apart, I love you and I'm willing to take a risk, because I know there isn't anything much better than this, I love you enough to fight for you, whether you will, or will not, ask me to. I hope you understand what I wrote this poem, I just want you to know what I am thinking when I am alone, I hope you appreciate what I have shown, and I promise to wait forever just to tell me, beside me, you're home.
Kara was not good at keeping her secret. The two of you had gotten closer as the days passed. The more time she spent with you, the more time she got comfortable. Random kryptonian words were often spoken when she got too excited. Kara would often forget about keeping her strength in check that she would hug you a little too tightly. You never minded it because it was comforting knowing that she felt safe with you to be herself.
Knowing Kara was Supergirl made you feel too underserving of her. She was practically a goddess. One that could have the world at the palm of her hand if she ever wanted and you were just a simple accountant. Someone that could hardly cause a dent in the world. This was also one of the reasons why your refused to tell Kara about your giant crush on her. All of her/your friends would try to convince you to just tell her but you refused. How could a literal goddess be in love with a mere peasant?
When Kara came out as Supergirl to you, you knew that you had to tell her. It wasn't fair for her to reveal her biggest secret and you still keep yours. You avoided Kara for a while after the reveal, making Kara think that you had gotten upset but in reality, you were struggling to figure out a way to tell her the way you felt.
It's how you gotten to this point. Drunk out of your mind. Writing a love poem to Kara because you were a coward. A coward that couldn't tell her straight up because they were afraid of being rejected. You couldn't bear the thought of Kara trying to find a nice way to reject you.
Taking one last shot, you closed the letter and wrote "For Kara" on the front of it before passing out.
Kara had gotten worried that you hadn't replied to any of her messages for the past couple of days. She wanted to give you space after the whole reveal but after hearing how fast your heartbeat got during one of the nights, she rushed to your balcony. The sight in front of her, broke Kara. You had passed out on the table with the poem under one of your hands. Kara didn't notice it until she had come back from laying you down on the bed. She wanted to clean your area so you wouldn't worry about it in the morning.
You woke up the next morning with a splitting headache with no recollection of how you even got to your bed. After taking a quick shower and changing into something comfortable, you headed downstairs to find Kara with the poem you had written for her while sitting down on the couch. She looked like she hadn't gotten any rest but somehow still looked like the goddess she was.
Kara looked up to meet your eyes when she heard you coming down the stairs.
"Is this true?"
The ball was in Kara's court now. It was up to her to see what she would do with that information.
"Prove it."
You were confused for a second about what she meant until you got the hint. Walking up to her, you gave her a soft kiss.
"You're my home."
Kara whispers against your lips
