"Sorry I'm late, Hanako! A few boys kept me busy, haha.." It was like any other day. I was delayed by a few boys confessing their love to me. I declined, though. My heart wasn't ready for any romantic relashionships, and it was already taken, by a very specific toilet-ghost in mind.
It was like any other day, so why.. Why did it come to this?
"It's fine! I know you'd decline them all, right?" How'd he know?! I thought in surprise. I didn't know he'd been stalking me. Until I connected the dots several weeks later. Foolishly, I shook it off, thinking he knew me well enough to assume correctly.
"Yeah! How'd you know though?" I asked curiously. His eyes widened a bit, but I payed no mind. Like an idiot, blinded by a crush.
"Well, I guess I just know you that much!" He grinned, closing his eyes in amusement.
My young, foolish eyes sparkled in amazement. "That's so cool, Hanako! I wish I knew you enough like that!!"
"You needn't worry, kid!" He smiled, I didn't notice, but now, remembering the moment, his eyes were cold, and dark. Not harsh, though, they were filled with love, but not warm love. His eyes were filled with a cold, dark obsession. Blinded by it. "You already know plenty enough of me!"
"By the way.." Hanako started, covering his eyes with his cap, grinning slightly. "If those boys ever annoy you, or push you around.. be sure to let me know, okay?"
"Okay, I will, Hanako!" I smiled at him, chuckling. Hanako's worrying is just so cute!

Next week, one of the boys who previously confessed to me was fed up on how I didn't accept anyone's confessions, and how I should have accepted his.
He grabbed the collar of my uniform and dragged me around, pushing me to either a nearby wall or the ground.
In bruises, I came limping to Hanako. He stared in shock and horror. "What happened to you, kid?!" Anger filled his eyes. Not worry, not hesitation, but anger.
"I-it's nothing.. Just a boy who thought I should have accepted his confession.." I rested on a nearby wall, closing my eyes a bit. I felt tired, like an oncean had been put under me.
"Which one??" He asked in desperation.
Quietly, I spoke. "The boy with the brown hair.. Olive eyes.. Freckles.." After that, I heard a couple words and passed out completely in the girl's washroom. I thought what he said was when I was dreaming, but judging by what happened, it probably wasn't a dream.
"Don't worry, (y/n).. I'll get rid of him for you."
The boy didn't go to school any days after that.
In fact.. I'm pretty sure his friends avoided me today, too.. It's like all my problems have been solved! I thought, densely and stupidly. I was such an idiot back then.
Not later after that, the real world was deemed as 'dangerous' and 'a threat', so I was taken captive.
By Hanako.
But this isn't Hanako, anymore. This is an empty husk, blinded by mortal attachment.
And this empty husk won't leave me be, anymore!
