Luck of the Irish 2001 (Disney) Happy St. Patricks Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day. Every year on Disney Channel usually they would have the Luck of the Irish on. Now that I have Disney+ I am able to just watch it and I choose to wait for today before I watch it. It's about a teenager who doesn't know about his heritage. He know his dad is from Cleveland but that's it. His school was putting on Heritage day and everyone has to show their heritage. This got him to wonder about his own heritage. Where he came from before his family came to America. I think that is something we all wonder about ourselves. I am into working on my family tree and finding my ancestors. It's easier on my mom side of the family who came here since the 1600's. My dad side is not that easy to find and they been here since late 1800's. I had some idea of what nationality I am from my family tree, seeing where different people in my family were born. I had too the DNA test from Myheritage which is the family tree site I use. That one said I am 8% Scandinavian. Of course other stuff too. Then I did the DNA test from 23andme because I was hoping I will find out more. From that I now know I am Irish, Scottish, French, French Canadian, English, Welsh, and German. I am also a very small percentage of Native American. But I still want to know. I used to do Irish Step dancing when I did dance in 8th and 9th grades. I dance from 7th-9th grades. There were of course other dances I danced but Irish Step was my favorite because I always knew that I am Irish and it's in my blood. 

Kyle is a basketball player and would always have his team to win. He thought it was because he was a good basketball player until one day he was having a bad luck day. He realized that it was because of his luck. That was when his parents finally told him that he is half leprechaun.With the help of his grandfather he had to get his gold coin back from the evil leprechaun and he learned that he can make his own luck. That luck is inside him. 

I think it has a great message of how important our heritage are and that it's important to know where you come from. Everyone has a heritage. Just keep digging and you will find it.
