Amari
"Girl, you gotta stop dumping people." Lana said watching me stuff my suitcases with my clothes.
"Tell them to stop bothering me." I mumbled grabbing more clothes.
"Those are just the pregnancy hormones." Lana said. "You'll be okay in a hour."
"This is serious." I said looking over to her. "And if you aren't going to take me serious and help me pack, I'm going to stop calling you."
"I'm sorry, you just look like an upset toddler." Lana laughed. "Come on. Let's go get food. You'll be okay."
"Lana." I stared at her.
"Amari." She stared back. "We can get hamburgers..."
"... Fine." I said standing up. "Only because I haven't eaten all day."
"Great!" She clapped. "Go grab your bags. I'll text Justin."
"Don't text him." I said.
"Okay. I won't." Lana said already typing on her phone. "Whatever you say."
"Lana!" I said.
"Go get your purse!" She said tossing her phone back into her bag.
Lana took me to get food before we drove to her house.
Justin
"Amari!" I called as I walked into the dark house. "Baby!"
No response.
Maybe she was sleep. I walked upstairs and to our bedroom. I flicked the lights on to be met with an empty bed. I walked into the bathroom and it was empty too. The closet was a mess and Amari's suitcases and clothes were everywhere.
I pulled my phone out preparing to call Amari, but was met with a text message from Lana.
Lana:
I have your boo.
We're going to get food. She'll be back Tomorrow."Well..." I sighed locking my phone.
I was happy Lana was there for her, but I was kind of disappointed.
I wanted to come home and talk to her.
I didn't mean for what I said to come across like that.
I wanted to make that clear to her.
Even if we were just going to be yelling at each other, I needed to talk to her.
I needed her.
Over the course of these six years, Amari had become everything to me. My life began to revolve around her.
When I was off doing my job, I was working hard to make sure I could come back to her as soon as possible.
When we lay in bed together, I don't sleep until I know that she's alright. Until I know that she can sleep peacefully.
