Please Stay Away

I'm manipulative, a freak, a monster.
So stay away from me for your safety.
I only seem to harm those around me.
Life is cruel, but I don't care anymore.
There is nothing that hurts me now.
I'm alone without a friend, but I'm fine.
This is what it needs to be for now.

I am the nightmare that you want gone!
I'm the freak that gets chased away.
I'm the monster that dies to save a town!
So don't get close to me, don't love me!
You'll only get hurt if you get close.
Stay away, and you'll be okay and happy.
I'll just be alone, left to survive life.
Stay away, and you'll be safe from me.

I'm just a mask of happiness hiding despair!
Depression is my constant companion.
There is nothing I wouldn't do to change,
But I hardly change enough to survive.
Left to my own devices, I could be free.
That's just a fantasy of mine though.
I will never be free from my demons!
