Five

~Beam~

After lectures, I went to the Dean's office to inquire about my field placement application. I am hoping to have something within the city, that way I wouldn't have to go away for the entire semester. I spoke with her and she assured me she have two sights for Neurologist. One was in the city and the other was in Starlight city her hometown. She told me her younger brother is a resident there, and she is more than sure, he would get me the position.

I left her office so excited, but honestly I have my heart set on the one that's in the city. Because I don't want to be far from Forth. Even if I end up at her brothers hospital, I'll work things out. Upon leaving, I run into N'Sharp at the waiting area. " Hi!!! P'Beam, how are you doing?"-N'Sharp. This kid is always in a good mood. " Are you here to see your aunt?" I asked. " oh I already met up with her, I noticed you coming in at the waiting area so I waited to say hi"N'Sharp 😊. Truly, this guy does not give off whatever vibe the others claim they've noticed.

"Hey, are you hungry? I'm about to get food before the Moon and Star rehearsal. You can come with me."-N'Sharp. I almost responded yes, when I recalled Forth asking me to have dinner with him.
" Oh no, I'm having dinner with my Boyfriend." I said with emphasis on the word boyfriend to draw the line. His eyes 👀 widen with surprise at first, then it was replaced with a big ole grin. " Well it make sense, a good looking guy like you would definitely have someone. Great, how about I threat both you and your boyfriend. The new Korean spot have great bulgogi"-N'Sharp.

Oh wow, he seem to understand that I only want his friendship. I knew he had no malicious intentions or a crush as the others made it out to seem. I'm a great judge of character, and this kid is very genuine and sincere.I thought about it, well Korean food is definitely better than anything at the engineering campus. " That sounds good, I'll threat you next time then. Did you drive here? My boyfriend dropped me off this morning" I asked, again emphasizing on the boyfriend. He laughed and nodded his head. We walked over to a brand new Porsche that he drove. " You really come from money huh?" I said teasingly. " That's my parents money ,not mine" he replied.

We made small talks on our way to the restaurant, he told me about what he had planned for his talent portion. He would be doing a martial art routine. I knew N'Ming was doing something similar. They are definitely going to be neck for neck for this title. We ordered our food, then while waiting for it. I received a text from Forth, "Hi babe, are you almost here? Should I have Lam pick you up? If you don't feel like walking". I looked at the time, oh mine I'm 30 minutes late. They'll get a break in 10 minutes, so I replied "I'll be there in 5mins, I'm getting Korean food for dinner" I replied.

" The boyfriend is worried 🙂?"-N'Sharp asked with a smile. I nodded, " Yeah, he wanted to know if I was okay"I replied. " You are lucky Phi, I wish I had someone that would care for me like that"-N'Sharp. I couldn't help but blush, yeah I was lucky. Forth is indeed what anyone would want in a partner. When we arrived at Engineer campus, the passenger door of the car was jammed. " Sorry Phi, it does that sometimes. I'll open it for you"-N'Sharp. When I got out, I asked him if he would like to say hi to Forth. He stated he would be late for rehearsals, but definitely another time. We said our goodbyes and I went over to the tent to set up the food, since Forth was now giving the closing speech.

~Forth~

I thought about my conversation with Park. It's great I'm having dinner with Beam today. We need to talk about him drawing boundaries with this guy. It was almost time for our break and Beam was not here yet. I knew he had to meet with his Dean, but he should be here by now. It only takes 8-10 minutes to walk from his campus to mine. I texted him to ask for his where about, and he informed me he was getting food and was on his way. I was so excited, I can't believe he went out of his way to grab dinner from a restaurant.

We were closing up Sotus when Park said, " Now, That's a nice Porsche!" I turned to look since Lam was leading the Sotus activities today. " Is it one of the senior's? I've never seen it on campus before" I said. Suddenly, a familiar figure got out the driver side to open the passenger door. Then out came Beam, I could feel blood rushing to my face. That's the same guy I saw the other time. Is this the boy Ai'Kit was talking about? I balled up my fist, but before I could do anything. Park leaned in on my shoulder and said, " Talk to Beam, get his side of the story. This looks innocent to me. Don't jump to conclusion"

It was easier said than done, because I was fighting every urge to not storm over there and beat up the kid. Why the fuck! Did he need to open Beam's door? Once I finalized the closing speech I went over to the tent, with Lam and Park. " Hi!!! Forth, I hope you are hungry. This spot is known to be one of the best Korean restaurant in town"-Beam greeted me with so much joy. Then I noticed Park mouthing out *Calmly talk to him*. " It looks like you two have a date, let's go to the stall for food Lam"-Park.

They walked away and it was only Beam and I now. He wasn't acting out of character, if anything I was. I couldn't help but shoot him a glare. "Is everything okay Forth? Did someone piss you off during Sotus?" He asked all concerned. I took a deep breathe to contain my anger. " No... go ahead and eat. I'll go finish my lab so we can go home early" I said. He looked at me quizzically but nodded and replied with. " I'll save it then, we can eat together when we get home". All I could do was nod and walk away.

~Beam~

I don't know who or what got Forth in such a foul mood, but I knew trouble was brewing. He either answered my questions with few words or nodded his head. I waited about an hour for him to finish his lab work.During the ride home, he didn't say a word either. I sat next to him, knowing he was an active volcano about erupt. When we arrived at our parking lot, he asked " Who dropped you off today?", he asked in the most calmest tone I've ever heard him speak with.

I won't lie, it gave me goosebumps and made me break out in sweat. A raging 😤 Forth, is better than this calm one. The moment he asked that I knew all hell was about to break loose. " That was N'Sharp babe... I wanted to to introduce you but he had practice" I said quickly. He gripped the steering wheel, with his eyes closed. Then turn off the engine, and got out the car without another word. I followed quietly, " I'll explain inside" I said when we got on the elevator. But I was greeted with a glare.

It definitely didn't help, when we arrived to a bucket of roses infront of our door. With a note addressed to me, stating: I'll do all I can to win your heart. Beam Baramee from your Secret Admirer heart ❤️. Okay, how do I explain this one? I looked up from the note to the blood shut eyes of Forth.The anger that was fuming through Forth is one I've never witnessed before. Shit!!! How I'm I going to calm down this guy today 😳.
