After finishing your work for the week, you sprawled out on the couch, letting out a deep sigh of relief. Finally, a moment to relax. DG, standing by the window, turned his gaze toward you. His eyes lingered for a moment before he spoke.

"You look exhausted," he noted, his tone casual but with a hint of concern. He moved back to his desk, picking up the completed paperwork you'd left for him. After scanning through it, he placed the documents neatly in a drawer and grabbed a bottle of peach-flavored juice—one you'd mysteriously managed to find.

"Gee, I wonder why," you replied, your voice tinged with playful sarcasm. "It's all thanks to you. You're like... a devil fruit." You stretched lazily, and for a moment, your thoughts drifted. If DG were a devil fruit, what kind would he be? Probably some absurd peach-themed fruit that grants you the power to sing and dance. You stifled a laugh at the mental image of DG dramatically dancing in front of an anime villain.

"I can tell you're thinking about me," DG suddenly interrupted, his voice dry. "And knowing you, it's in the dumbest way possible." You flinched, startled by how accurate he was. What the hell? Did Jay teach him how to read minds?

"I'm not a mind reader," he added, almost like he could sense your next thought. You narrowed your eyes at him suspiciously. How did he always seem to know what was on your mind? Letting out a soft, frustrated sigh, DG crumpled the paper in his hand and tossed it into the trash bin.

Something was clearly bothering him. He hadn't been himself lately—not since Mr. Jang brought up the idea of you becoming a trainee.

"What's wrong?" you asked, standing up and walking toward his desk.

"Nothing," he muttered, avoiding your gaze. You raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. Leaning against his desk, you crossed your arms.

"Look, as your friend, let me give you some advice," you began, your tone light but genuine. "Don't let things stress you out so much. Whether it's big or small, you've got to take it easy."

"That's like telling a depressed person to 'just stop being depressed,'" he shot back dryly.

"I mean it," you continued, undeterred. "Negative stuff happens, sure, but don't let it get to you. Having a hard time at work? Remember, I'm here. Just... you know, pay me for my support." You jokingly added the last part with a smirk, trying to lighten the mood. That earned you a small laugh from him.

"And if you're dealing with some clingy diva of a problem, guess what? I'm here too, ready to out-diva anyone and shoo them away." You playfully flipped your hair over your shoulder, striking a mock dramatic pose before leaning on his desk with a grin. His frown began to fade, and the corners of his mouth lifted into a faint smile.

"But seriously," you said, softening your tone. You reached out and placed a hand gently over his. "If you need to vent or just take a breath, I'm here. You don't have to deal with everything alone."

For a moment, he didn't say anything, just looking at you as though weighing your words. Finally, he let out a quiet chuckle and gave your hand a light squeeze.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said, his smile now warm and sincere.

🌿TIME SKIP

DG surprised you with an unexpected offer to head home early, suggesting you take a well-deserved break since the work for the week was nearly complete and no pressing schedules loomed. Ever the gentleman, he offered to drive you home, but you politely declined, explaining that you wanted to walk back with your friend, Daniel Park. Predictably, DG didn't look thrilled by your decision.
