Ashley's POV

I grab the rest of my stuff as JJ watches me. I grab his hand and we leave out the back door.

"I'm sorry about my mom." I mumble as we walk to JJs house.

"I understand parents can be difficult." JJ says as he squeezes my hand.

We make it to JJs house and he stops walking when we reach the front door.

"I think you should umm just stay out here." JJ said in a shaky voice.

"Oh okay." I whisper as I step aside.

I wait outside for JJ when I hear banging.

"You piece of shit!" I hear a man yell.

I hear more banging and then a huge thud.

"JJ!" I yell.

When he doesn't respond I rush inside to see JJ standing over his unconscious father. JJ had new bruises and cuts forming on his face. He had blood in his teeth and tears on his face.

"JJ." I whisper.

He looks over at me and doesn't say anything.

He pulls me into a hug as he cry's into my body.

"I'm sorry." I whisper as I rub his back softly.

We both walk out of his house.

"We both have fucked up parents." JJ mumbles as we make our way to John Bs house.

"Yeah. Can you not tell the other pogues about my mom?" I ask him.

"Of course. Don't tell them about my dad. I don't need them to worry." JJ says as I nod.

We walked inside John Bs house to see John B, Kie and Pope all waiting for us.

"Where were you two?" Kie asks us with a smirk.

"Probably macking at JJs house." John B says as he winks at JJ.

"She wishes we were macking." JJ says as he grins at you.

"In your dreams JJ." I say as I sit down next to Kie.

"I wouldn't mind if you made my dreams come true." JJ says as he looks me up and down.

I roll my eyes at him as he sits next to John B.

"I've been thinking." John B says as I laugh.

"That's a dangerous thing to do." I say as kie laughs with me.

"Did you hurt yourself doing that?" Kie says as John B rolls his eyes.

"No. Anyways, the kooks are having a party tonight and I was thinking we should crash it." John B says with a grin.

"You just want to see Sarah Cameron!" I say as John B shakes his head.

"No. I wanna piss topper and rafe off." John B says with a grin.

"I'm so in." JJ says as he high fives John B.

"Why would we go to a kook party?" Kie asks as John B shrugs.

"It won't be fun." I mumble as JJ shakes his head.

"A bunch of drunk rich people. Sounds like a good time to me." JJ says with a grin.

"They are just gonna kick us out." Pope says as John B shakes his head.

"No, because we are gonna be in disguises." John B says causing me and Kie to laugh again.

"You are so dumb it hurts my brain." I mumble as I stand up and walk away.

"We get to swim in their pool and drink all their beers , plus we will piss off the kooks. Sounds hella fun to me." JJ says as I shake my head.

"If JJ thinks it's a good idea, we are in deep shit." I mumble.
