37 D-day

Natapos ang isang linggo sa pagp-prepara ng venue and I'm proud with the result. The backdrop was a nice idea for the theme of Yivie's book. Nag-iba rin ang arrangement ng tables at chairs.

Ngayon na ang araw na gaganapin ang event at katatapos lang namin sa paghahanda ng pagkain. We prepared cupcakes and beverages para sa mga pupunta.

The mini stage was already set, the organizers are checking everything and the people waiting inside are increasing.

Nakaset-up na ang equipments ng media dahil mas maaga silang dumating kaysa sa mga fans ni Yivie.

Ilang minuto pa ang lumipas at napuno na ang venue.

Pumasok ako sa locker room kung saan inaayusan si Yivie. "Guys, ready na sa labas." ako nang makapasok.

Nadatnan ko si Yivie na mag-isang nakaupo sa couch. "Nasaan sila?" nagtatakang tanong ko.

"Pinalabas ko muna, kinakabahan ako eh." aniya at hinawakan ang dulo ng tenga. Wait, is that her mannerism kapag kinakabahan?

I hid my smile and walked to her.

I kneeled one of the knees and faced her. "The people outside are your supporters, bakit ka kinakabahan?" I gave her a reassuring smile to enlighten her up.

Ngumiti siya pabalik at tumayo na ako.

Sinabayan ko siyang lumabas at marahan na tinapik ang balikat niya saka tumabi sa mga kasamahan ko na nakapuwesto sa coffee bar.

"Kiran, patulong muna ako sa loob. " bulong ni Iza na hindi ko mawari kung nag-aalala o kinakabahan. Both?

"Bakit?" tanong ko nang makapasok kami sa loob ng kitchen. Nginusuan niya ang mga cupcakes na hinanda namin kanina.

My mind went blank when I saw the icing ruined. I looked back at Iza and we both sighed.

She explained that a cat went inside dahil naiwang nakabukas ang back door.
It was about to jump on the table but she saw it and shooed it away pero nadaplisan nito ang table kung saan nakapatong ang cupcakes then this happened.

We called out Kyer without being obvious. We talked in our low voice and planned about what to do with the cupcakes.

"Kailan natin ise-serve ang cupcakes?" tanong ni Kyer. Nakapalibot kaming tatlo sa mga nasirang cupcakes. We tried thinking of solutions habang seryosong nakatingin sa isa't isa.

"We still have 45 minutes. Can we redo the icing?" Iza answered. Nakapamewang siya at halata ang frustration sa mukha. I tried to stay calm but when I checked the frosting, hindi ko mapigilan na mag-alala because it's not enough to redo all of the ruined cupcakes.

Binigay ko iyon sa kanila and just like me, worry is visible on their faces.

We stayed silent to think harder and an idea popped out of my head. "Why don't we just make another frosting? We still have the ingredients, right?" I asked. They both looked enlightened and so we started moving silently so we won't disturb the event.

We grabbed all the ingredients and started mixing them.

After thirty minutes, we were able to make the frosting. We started the decorating part. Mabilis na inayos ni Iza ang icing at si Kyer naman ang naglagay ng toppings. Ako ang nag-arrange nito sa table. I made sure na sirado ang back door and looked around to check if there are cats near the perimeter of the cupcake.

40 minutes and we made it.

We all sighed in relief. "Good job guys, thanks." Iza. We smiled and after that, lumabas na ako sa kitchen.

I was surprised dahil iniinterview pa pala si Yivie. I looked at her who's politely answering the questions of the media.

One question caught my attention, "Are you dating someone right now?" she didn't looked surprised, maybe marami na ang nagtatanong sa kaniya.

But I was, especially with her answer.

She smiled and shook her head. "Nope, but I am willing to date someone." and she laughed with her fans.

Paulit-ulit ang sinabi niya sa isip ko.

Nope, but I am willing to date someone.

Nakailang ulit pa ito bago ko mapagtanto ang sinabi niya. She's not dating anyone? What about Mike? Nalaman niya ba ang tungkol kay Mike at Nicci?

I snapped back to reality when I felt somebody nudging me.

I turned to see who it was and it was Dyen. She was smiling like an idiot.

"Anong problema mo?" I asked and continued watching Yivie na ngayon ay sinasagot ang mga katanungan ng fans niya.

"Willing daw siya eh. Anong plano mo?" hindi parin tumigil si Dyen kaya hinarap ko na siya. But I didn't say anything. I'm still confused. So I turned my back and went inside the kitchen.

I stayed there until it was time to serve the cupcakes and beverages.
