CHAPTER 5

Annabelle P.O.V

"So what job do I actually have to do" I asked

He thought for some time before saying

"A bartender"

"That doesn't sound bad" I said

"Hmmm" he replied

"But a bartender at where?" I asked

"A night club" he said

"What" I said

"I said a night club" he replied

"I know what you said at first.
I'm under 18 and I also hate clubs" I said

"Why do u hate clubs, have you been to one before? He asked

"No, I haven't but I've heard people talk about it. So I won't be accepting your offer. Thank you very much" I said

"I told u that you are going to be a waitress, not some dancer. And also, if u refuse my offer, where the hell will u go?"

"I will go to the girl's hostel?" I replied

He scoffed
"Well if you don't know, the girl's hostel you are planning to go belongs to me" he said

What does he mean by that

"How does it belong to you and how do u even know the girl's hostel I'm talking about, cause there are so many in the country"i asked

"When I hit you with my car,you were close to a girl's hostel and that hostel belongs to me.
It's in my only sister's name
Annabelle's girls hostel
So am I right or wrong" he asked

"Umm, you are right
But that doesn't mean that I'll accept your offer, I can just go back to the hotel and they will find me a better job" I replied smiling slightly

"Well, since it's my hostel, I can just call the manager and tell her not to admit you into the hostel or even if I let you in the hostel, I will just call the manager and tell her to bring you to my club for a job. So where will you go then" he said smirking

Huh, that evil smirk
I wish I can just slap it off his face
But he's kinda cute with it

Really Annabelle "CUTE".
Since when do you think like this

"Um, ok, fine, I'll accept the job but just know I won't be doing anything dirty" I said
"And come to think of it, how do you own a club. You look too young to own a club" I continued

"How I own a club isn't your concern" he said
I should have expected that

"And also, all my workers especially girl wear face mask, your face will be a mystery to people. Do you accept that?" He asked

Is he kidding, I love it

"Yes"

" So we have a deal, you will begin Working from next week, your shift will be 6pm to 3am every day"he said

So basically nights will be my day and days will be my night, so I will be sleeping during the day but I'll be awake all night.

Note the sarcasm

"Ok" I had to agree
"So when will I leave this hospital, I'm clearly allergic to this place" I said

"Is it even humanly possible to be allergic to hospitals" he asked

"Yup, and I want to leave here as soon as possible, I can't bear it any more" I  said

"I've seen your reports, and there is nothing wrong with you anymore, but you still need to rest, but since you don't want to stay here, I can take you to my house, you can rest there. After a week, you will be transferred to the worker's dorm and you can start working" he said

"Ok, that is fine by me." I said

"So, I will tell the nurse to get you new clothes" he said

"What happened to my old ones" I asked

"Well, it was stained with blood" he said

"So where are the clothes. I kept something important there" I said

" I'm Sorry, but they got thrown away. But don't worry, your bag is in my office, i'll tell the nurse to get you new clothes" he said

"No, I don't want the clothes, I just want that piece of paper that he gave me." I said

"Who is this he" he asked and I saw something like anger and guilt and also something like jealousy flash on his eyes, but just as it came, it was gone

"Someone important to me" I replied

"How important" he asked

Wow, he's getting on my nerves

"A friend, so drop the questions" I said.

"Ok, I will be leaving now, I'll tell the nurse to get your clothes and she will escort you to my office" he said.
"Ok" I replied

He spared me one glance before exiting the room
Few minutes later, the nurse came in with a Jean and a t-shirt.
That's basically what I wear every day, I don't even have a skirt or gown, it's always Jean and t-shirt.
I went into the bathroom to freshen up but what I saw in there almost made me run out of the hospital.

In the mirror, staring at me was a girl who look just like me with a nest as a hair, deep eye bags, black eyes, almost as black as um um yes the colour black itself, I know I'm exaggerating but still. My skin was as pale as u could ever imagine.
My lips were very dry, I was thinking they would start to break any moment from now, o God pls save my poor lips.
In general, I look like a mummy who was just brought out from her tomb.
I wonder how the nurse, the doctor and the mysterious man who I  had yet to know his name could possibly look at me and not gag at the sight or even run away.

I wonder how they could stand talking to me for so long.

Well, enough with my beauty check, I'll just freshen up and go and see mystery man.

I freshened up and to say I look better would be an understatement, I look like anything you could possibly think that look good.

I went out of the bathroom and saw the nurse in the room.

"Ok, we are going to see the boss, be of good behavior" she said.

"Who is this boss" I asked

"The man who just left here" she said.

Okay, how is he a boss, this is a hospital so how could he be a boss.
Or maybe he's the owner of the hospital.
Wow, he owns a club and also a hospital, what will I find out he has next?.
"Ok" I replied.

She started leading the way to the boss.
After some walking and rounding corners later, we left the hospital or so I thought.

What I saw left my jaw on the floor.
