Jake's P.O.V.

Callum had been not best friend for a long time. Since like, junior year of high school. So when he ended up working on campus, I was hyped.

"We could easily just like... fall...", he whispered, looking over the edge of the tallest building on campus. I pulled him back by his shirt,

"Stop it.", I whispered. He looked down at me for a minute,

"Yeah, I know.", he muttered, getting up. I jumped up to follow, finding my lips on his. I quickly pulled back, my heart racing,

"Fuck. I-I'm so sorry. I-"

"Jake it's okay.", he said softly, "I-I don't- Like I-I don't... swing that way..."

"No I know. I know. I'm sorry." I paused, "I-I'm gonna go-"

"Fuck no. We're hanging out. It's not a big deal dude." I couldn't look him in the eyes.

I flopped onto dads before dramatically, groaning into the pillow. He laughed at me,

"What's your problem kid?" I rolled onto my side to look up at him,

"I kissed Callum." He inhaled sharply,

"Ooo. Yikes kid. How'd that go?"

"Not good. He's not gay."

"And... you are...?" I shrugged,

"I thought I was asexual because I only thought about being with women. Turns out, I'm definitely not asexual."

"Gross. Things I don't need to know Jake."

"Sorry." I sighed, "Can we go back to my fucked up love life?"

"Please. How'd Callum react?"

"Oddly calm. He told me he wasn't gay. Which I know already. And then said it was fine and that we were still gonna hang out. He was really sweet about it. Which doesn't help my problem."

"You'll figure it out kiddo. Promise."

Alex's P.O.V.

"So, that's about it." Monte nodded a little,

"There's something you should know.", she said softly, "I'm Andrew's sister."

"Andrew Garner?" She nodded. "Oh. I...I'm sorry for your loss. He uh... he was a good student-"

"You don't have to bullshit me."

"Don't cuss."

"Sorry.", she paused, looking out towards the ocean, "My brother was not a good person. Or a good student. He was a rapist and my parents paid everyone off to ignore that. He was their pride and joy who 'made a few mistakes'. They always told me to be more like him but I've worked my whole life to be nothing like him."

"I don't think you're anything like him."

"Thank you."
