once the family of three got to go home all sleep seemed to cease. it had been several weeks since but the routine stayed the same, jihoon was up every two hours feeding the baby while soonyoung tried his best to help. jihoon was exhausted. his back ached, his body always felt drained, he rarely ate, he hated seeing himself in mirrors because he had leftover baby weight. the only thing holding him together were woosung and soonyoung.

his days got better when he got a hug or kiss from soonyoung and when he saw woosung smile or peacefully sleep he felt at peace. jihoon needed a nap and a break but he was always doing something. even though soonyoung was home on break to help he felt useless.

while woosung slept jihoon scurried around doing laundry or some dishes. soonyoung could see the exhaustion on jihoon's face but anytime he tried to help jihoon told him "i got it" or "it's fine" and soonyoung just watched. he was scared for jihoon's health.

"i'm gonna do some dishes, woo is sleeping. do you want something to eat?" jihoon said quietly as he stepped to the kitchen.

soonyoung followed him and hugged him from behind at the kitchen counter. jihoon wiggled from his grasp, he hated soonyoung touching his baby weight. he didn't want soonyoung to find him unattractive and leave.

"bub..?" soonyoung said as he frowned at jihoon avoiding his touch.

"hm?" jihoon said with a phony smile and soonyoung placed a hand on his cheek.

"will you take a small break.. please? you know woosungie would hate for you to get sick.." soonyoung said and jihoon just sighed and shook his head.

"jihoon.. please. you don't have to do it alone, that's why im here." soonyoung reasoned and jihoon felt himself begin to break down.

jihoon knew postpartum was going to happen but he was hoping that it was going to be minor and he would be able to breeze past it but there he was. jihoon felt tears run down his face, he felt so alone and scared. he knew he wasn't alone but he was scared if he didn't do it all alone that soonyoung would leave.

"baby.. it's okay.. c'mere," soonyoung said as he pulled jihoon into a gentle hug and rubbed his back. jihoon crumbled in his arms and cried.

"let me help you, okay? i love you, my gorgeous and strong jihoon." soonyoung said as he kissed jihoon's forehead.

"g-gorgeous?" jihoon asked from his chest and soonyoung frowned. he didn't even think about jihoon disliking his body afterwards.

"of course. no matter what weight, height, or face i love my jihoon." soonyoung said and jihoon nodded.

as if he was on cue woosung began to cry from his room. soonyoung let go of jihoon and kissed him gently before going to woosung's room. jihoon wiped his tears and turned to the dishes. it felt nice to not feel so alone anymore. jihoon knew that he had soonyoung and woosung and that's all he needed and wanted.

even as crazy as things were he couldn't of been happier. sure their life as a family was going to be weird at times when people didn't understand but it would never interfere with their happiness. they didn't need others approval to be happy, as long as they had each other they were okay. just like that, they had found love.
