Chapter 25

"Why did you call me here?"

Asked An Qi with a stoic expression on her face.

In front of her was Xueer standing with her hands on her back, Fingers fidgeting as she feel so unexplicably nervous with their current situation.

An Qi don't want to look at the redhead infront of her so she roamed her eyes around the empty gymnasium they are in to avoid the taller's gaze.

"Do we have a problem, An Qi?"

Xueer softly asked.

Finally, An Qi looked at her and they made eye contact.

"Why are you playing so innocent? I know that you know why I'm being like this."

An Qi replied. Xueer can't describe the tone of the shorter's voice.

Xueer furrowed her eyebrows.

"Look, An Qi. I really have no idea. Can you just please tell me so we could fix this?"

Xueer was frustrated and desperate right now.

An Qi scoffed and laughed bitterly.

"You lied to me."

An Qi stopped.

"You and Yuxin lied to me."

She continued that made Xueer instantly froze on her place.

Xueer's eyes widened, She gulped and parted her lips slightly to say something but she stopped and chose to be quiet.

The redhead started thinking. How did An Qi knew about it? Was Yuxin the one who told her?

"Don't worry. Yuxin wasn't the one who told me."

An Qi replied as if she knew what's going on inside Xueer's mind.

"I swear, There's nothing going on between us anymore."

Xueer defended herself. She don't want An Qi to think that there's still a relationship between her and Yuxin, They are just friends.

Instead of replying, An Qi shook her head and clicked her tongue.

"You disappointed me, Xueer."

An Qi said before walking away and purposely bumping on the redhead's shoulder.

The said girl stopped on her tracks when her eyes landed on a tall figure standing by the entrance with her hands on her pocket, Staring emotionlessly at her.

It was Jiaqi.

An Qi only spare a single glance for the taller before finally making her way out.

On the other hand, Jiaqi began walking closer to Xueer who's currently facing her back.

"Xueer."

Jiaqi whispered and put her right hand on the girl's shoulder.

The short haired girl heard low sniffs from the redhead.

A while later, Xueer turned around to face Jiaqi.

Jiaqi was immediately greeted by Xueer's emotionless look.

"Hey. What's wr---"

Before Jiaqi could finish her sentence, A hard slap cut her off.

Jiaqi clenched her jaw, but she isn't mad, and gulped before looking back at Xueer.

Jiaqi blinked and confusion was present on her face.

"Why did you do that?"

Jiaqi asked, Pertaining to the slap.

"I trusted you, Jiaqi."

Xueer started.

"You told me that you won't tell anyone, Especially An Qi."

"But you didn't keep your words."

Xueer stopped after. Jiaqi could see anger in her eyes.

But the taller is confused. She didn't tell An Qi and she would NEVER unless Xueer told her to. She promised Xueer and she isn't that type of person who breaks her promises.

"What? I never told anyone. What are you saying?"

Jiaqi defended herself but Xueer sarcastically laughed in response.

"Do you think I would still believe you, Jiaqi? You already broke my trust. Now excuse me because I don't fucking want to see your face."

Xueer said and left the gymnasium without listening to Jiaqi's words.

Jiaqi bit her lower lip. She really isn't the one who told An Qi about it.

And now, Xueer is mad at her.
