Cleared, But Not Cleared to Compete

~With Kairi~

Since our injuries, we've been off tv for some time. Shayna has been fired, but I still wanna find her and kill her. I feel that way, but I shouldn't. At least I have my man next to me through everything. Hunter came to the room to talk to Peter and I.

Kairi: Hunter?

Hunter: Yep.

He sat down next to me as I was sitting up in my hospital bed getting a hug from him.

Hunter: I heard about what happened with Shayna. She's not coming back to the company.

Me: That's a relief. I thought she was gonna stay with NXT.

Hunter: I wanna talk to you about your injury. Turns out you have a fractured arm. The doctors said you'll be out of competition for about three months. With that said, I have to relinquish you of your Championship. I'm sorry, Kairi.

Me: What? No. I worked hard for that. I shouldn't give it up now. I won it last month. It'll be considered the worst reign in history of the brand. Hunter, this can't happen to me.

Hunter: This is emotional, I understand. But you have to consider your health.

I broke down in tears and I buried my head in the pillow.

~With Peter~

Hunter telling Kairi that she needs to give up her title is heartbreaking. I had to sit down next to her and comfort her.

Hunter: I'll give you some time, Kairi.

He shook our hands and went out of the room. Kairi was still in tears. It was horrible. Hearing that her title had to be taken away from my Kairi is just too much to handle.

Kairi: Can we go home? I don't want to stay here anymore.

Me: I'll ask the doctor about it.

Kairi: Thank-you, Peter.

She gave me a little peck on my cheek and went out the room to find the doc. I found him, asked if Kairi was allowed to leave, he said okay and we were out of here in an hour. I had a feeling Shayna was watching our every move. We didn't feel safe until we got home.

While we were home, everyone from Ciampa, Johnny and Candice, Io, and even Hunter would bring us food. I couldn't even thank them enough for their support. I didn't come back for NXT until next Wednesday.

~Next Wednesday~

Kairi had to stay home so I was going by myself. I didn't like going alone, mostly because when I was in Bullet Club, I'd have the G.o.D walk me down to the ring, but this isn't NJPW, this is NXT. No good luck kiss. No good luck hug. Nothing from Kairi tonight as she was home nursing her broken arm. My match tonight was against a surprise opponent and I wonder who it is.

~8:00~

I entered and I got a huge ovation from the crowd.

Alicia: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Toronto Ontario, Canada, weighing at 228lbs, "The Anarchist" Peter Reynolds!

I was looking forward to my mystery opponent and I couldn't wait. But Triple H's music played and he entered.

Hunter: Listen, Peter. I understand that your girlfriend is out of action for a couple months so I had to bring in someone to cheer you up. I know you and him had amazing matches in Japan. I think you'll find him familiar. He has signed a three year contract with NXT. And who is he? Well, there's one word to describe him: tranquilio!

The crowd and myself were ecstatic and that got me curious. But the music that was playing was unfamiliar until who I saw gave me chills. An old friend is here and I was getting emotional inside.

Mauro: ARE YOU KIDDING ME! THE MAN HIMSELF! TETSUYA NAITO IS HERE IN NXT!

Alicia: And his opponent, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing at 262lbs, TETSUYA NAITO!

Beth: My God! What a shock from the NXT Universe, including Peter! The look on his face says it all! He's happy an old friend is here!

Phillips: Naito a former four time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, same as Shinsuke Nakamura!

Naito gave me his signature fist bump and the match was underway.
