His heart was racing, tears streaming down his face as he pants to catch his breath.

Eren got shot.

Ignoring the pain on his ankle, Levi drove to his belongings and fished out his silver gun. He flinched when another series of gunshots filled the air followed by screams and cries. His hands were trembling as he loaded the gun but he was able to load it with bullets.

Wiping his eyes, Levi went back to the window. He can't see where Eren was anymore but the raven will not think twice of killing whoever shot his beloved Alpha.

Pulling up the window, Levi's arms almost fall off when the pane didn't budge. "Ugh! Come on!"

His entire body jerked when one of the bandits fired again. Levi decided to fuck it.

Grabbing the stool from the corner, Levi swang the chair to the glass pane. Thankfully another gunshot covered the sound of breaking glass, making the raven's spot unknown. He blew out the candle in their room and settled on the window. Observing his enemies.

Five bandits. He counted.

Calming himself down, Levi aimed at one of the bandits. Quickly recalling all his lessons, the raven took his time. Once he got a clear shot, he didn't hesitate and pull the trigger and successfully shot the bandit on the shoulder. The others started panicking, aiming their guns in all directions.

Levi took advantage of their panic state and aimed at another bandit on the shoulder, knocking him off his feet.

The children run back to their parent's arms while the remaining bandits panicked, screaming where the hidden shooter was.

Levi lay low for a good minute before shooting one of the members and another one until the last bandit remains standing.

"Show yourself! Coward!" It was the tall buff bandit that shot his Alpha. Levi saw red.

Levi gritted his teeth and shot the last bandit on the shoulder. The bandit remained standing, holding his bleeding shoulder while aiming his gun everywhere, firing warning shot like a maniac. But the raven didn't stop there, he aimed at the bandit's thigh. The sound of the bandit's groan in pain awakens the sadistic side of Levi. The bandit was on his ass, holding his bleeding thigh.

He heard people started cheering and some of the local cowboys disarmed the rest of the bandits but that didn't faze Levi. He aimed at the buff bandit's head.

"Levi! Stop!"

Levi gasped. His body froze when he registered his Alpha's voice. Eren finally came to view and run to the buff bandit, he kicked his gun first and shielded the bandit with his body.

"It's okay now," Eren said, looking up at him in the window.

Levi's hands started trembling uncontrollably and dropped his gun. He clasped his hands on his mouth, tears streaming down his eyes.

His Alpha was okay.

Adrenaline washed off his system, letting him fall on the floor. Levi doesn't give a shit that he almost became a murder, for him, the important thing was Eren was okay.

The townspeople rejoiced with the helped they received. Those bandits were not new to their town, they come once every week to loot the town's money. If people don't give what they wanted, they would hold women and children hostage. All five were locked in and waiting for the scouts to put them behind bars for good.

The people threw a small celebration, as thank you for their new heroes. But only Erwin showed up that night. The blonde Alpha politely explained to everyone that the brunette that helped needed some rest.

On the second floor of the inn, the only noise that can be heard were small whimpers and sniff.

Levi buried his face on Eren's chest as he cried, holding his Alpha close in a tight grip. Thinking that if he didn't he'll lose Eren.

"Hey, easy there," Eren cooed raking his finger on Levi's raven hair. "It's just a scratch."

It was nothing but a bullet scratch, Eren had experience worst. The landlady was a dear and patched him even when Eren declined the offer. He was an Alpha and a special one, that's what his mother said. Alphas can indeed heal easily with physical injury but in Eren's case, his body can heal faster, unlike any other Alphas. But no matter how much he tried to explain it to his mate, Levi was still crying over what happened.

"Idiot. Eren, you idiot!" Levi cried.

"I'm sorry, Levi."

"What were you fucking thinking?!" Levi exclaimed.

"Erwin needed my help-"

"But that doesn't mean you have to fucking jump into the scene like some obnoxious hero!"

"I just thought you preferred heroes," Eren mumbled, looking away from the raven.

"What?" Levi gaped at him. "I preferred heroes? Since when?!"

"It...." Eren pouted. "It was like, you loved listening to Erwin's story... so I thought..."

Levi pulled back and stared at him in disbelief. "You fucking think that I like listening to Erwin's shitty stories?!"

"You preferred to ride next to him then," the childish pout didn't leave Eren's lips as his hand's fiddles with the tails of his shirt.

"You..." Levi let out a long tired sigh. He scooted closer to the pouting Alpha and cupped his face. Blue-stormy eyes locked with Ocean-green eyes. "You think that I need a hero?"

Eren averted his gaze.

"Eren, listen." Levi patted his cheek. "I never needed a hero in my life. What I need is an outlaw. And not just an outlaw, I want Rogue," Levi smiled.

Eren smiled lightly. Sighing, he rested his forehead on Levi's neck. Burying his nose on the Omega's scent glands, smelling his scent mixed perfectly with Levi's. Deep inside, the brunette still can't believe that this beautiful, strong-will Omega bared his neck for him. Giving Eren all his trust, faith, and love.

"I love you," Eren whispered.

"I love you too but don't fucking do that again!" Levi gently whacked his head.

"I won't," Eren nodded.

"Alright," Levi hummed. With his nerves settled, he wanted to know something. Eren had been awfully nice towards Erwin and Levi can't point out what his Alpha is planning. Levi pulled away from a little and peered at his Alpha. "Now tell me. Why do you want to be close to Erwin?"

"Honestly? I thought that he is a nice guy."

"Seriously?" Levi raise a brow at him, full of doubt.

"Yeah. When I first met him, his comrades ran like chickens after I shot the newbie that joined them. Erwin remained to save him, he was stubborn. No matter how many times he fell on his knees. He was a good commander," Eren explained.

"Good, bad, naïve," Levi listed. "I'll kill him tomorrow." He pouted and snuggled closer to his Alpha.

"Hahaha!" The Alpha laughed. "You won't do that," Eren yawned, pulling his mate close as they sleep the night away.
