Eren groaned when a bright light hits his eyes. Grunting, the brunette rolled over, his hand reached for his mate but he only grasped pillows in his hand. "Hmmm, Levi?"

Forcing his eyes open, Eren blinked several times. A bit disoriented and surprise at his surroundings. Sitting up, the outlaw shook his head, a mild pain zap at his forehead. "Ow."

"Oh, you're awake," Levi said on the corner. He was fully dressed and the bags were packed. "Hurry up and get dress, we're leaving."

"My head hurts," Eren whined. "I think the drink last night hit me hard."

"Nope," Levi pulled out a shirt and pair of trousers. He threw them to Alpha. "I was the one who hit you."

"What? Why?"

Levi took a deep breath. "We have to talk."

"Okay," Eren whispered as he put on fresh clothes.

Levi stood and rest both hands on his hips. "Do you remember what happened last night?"

"I..." Eren scratched the back of his head. "Came back here and I drunk the thing in the bottle and-" He paused. All that he had said last night acted like a landslide.

"You're planning to rob Smith's bank and you didn't tell me?" Levi huffed, anger lacing in his voice.

"I don't want to bother you further," Eren sighed and finished putting on his clothes.

"Don't want to bother? Eren, we agreed to go through this together."

"I'm still contemplating, Levi. I can't lose you," Eren stood and went to his bag. He can't risk Levi. Now he knew what Connie meant that another true will be revealed. And the Alpha is not sure that this will help their bond.

"What do you mean?"

"I have to plan this alone. It's better that way."

"And you think I'll let you?! Eren, I don't want to lose you too. That's why I need to be there!" Levi grabbed him by the arm, forcing the outlaw to face him.

"You don't understand! Levi, when you hurt your ankle, I almost lose my mind. How much more when you got shot?" the incident in the last town proves that Eren can't risk Levi. Anything that can harm his mate was driving him crazy. He'll never forgive himself if he loses his Omega because of his doings.

"I've been practicing! You witnessed how I handle a gunfight! " Levi exclaimed.

"Levi, you were hiding and none of the bandits knew your location. Robbing a bank will be different." Eren knew it is different. Other banks had night guards it will be very difficult, he knew that those heavy security banks were worth the planning. But now that he had Levi. Everything changed. His perspectives, his beliefs, his outlook in life. When he was bonded with Levi, all Eren can think about is settling down. Get a house, a cat, and children. He figured that he'll rob a bank for the last time and he'll make it worth it. That's why he decided on targeting Smith's bank but he planned on going alone. He started this alone and he'll end it alone.

But Levi. The raven Omega is so naïve. It is never simple to rob a bank. It is true that Eren welcomed the idea of Levi joining him at first but after bonding with the said Omega. Eren just can't. Maybe he'll abort his plans? But he knew that it won't stop Levi.

"Are you saying what happened was just my lucky break?"

"Yes! I mean- No!" Eren groaned. "You know what I mean!"

"No, I don't know what you mean Eren." Levi huffed in frustration. "You know how much I wanted to rob a bank. That's the reason why I'm still here."

"Wait," Eren felt like a spear that shot him right on his chest. "You mean... I'm just your escape rope?"

"Hold on, that's not what I'm trying to say here-"

"-Oh yeah? Do you love me, Levi? Or you just love the thrill of freedom that I gaven you?!" Eren raised his voice.

Levi flinched slightly. "You know that I love you..." his voice quivered.

"Let's go." Eren dismissed picking up their bags, he exited the tent.

He can't, he's too angry to face Levi right now. If he stayed and continued their argument, he might do something he'll regret for the rest of his life.

----

Levi remains on his spot, clutching his fist at the swirl of mixed emotions. A tear shed on his eye and he quickly wiped, he doesn't even know the main reason why he was crying.

He didn't mean to say that he went with Eren for freedom. It was at first but everything is different now. He loved Eren more than anything else in the world. He's willing to do everything for him but the Alpha is depriving him to join him. Levi had been looking forward to it.

Another tear shed. Levi took a deep breath as he wipe the tears.

He knew how much Eren wanted to settle down but it's too early for them and Levi is not yet ready to let go of his life and concentrate on children.

"Levi?"

Levi froze when Erwin Smith's voice came from outside. It didn't help the Omega's mood.

"What?" it came harsher than expected.

"I'm sorry for bothering you, um... We're leaving now."

"Hold on, I'll return the clothes to the elders," Levi sighed. Pulling a handkerchief from his pocket the Omega cleaned his face.

"Okay."

Levi waited for the blonde Alpha to leave before moving. With the clothes neatly folded in his hands, he went to one of the larger tents like houses. He doesn't need to say anything to the guards, when they saw the clothes in his hands, they open the door for him.

Inside was one of the elders that lend him the traditional clothes. Levi knelt for respect and offered the clothes. When he looked up, the old Omega was studying his face. The elder knew that he was crying. Levi felt a little embarrassed.

"My mate and I fought..."

The elder hummed.

"Thank you for everything," when Levi was about to stand, the elder spoke.

"Anger is Evil."

Levi gave it a long deep thought. He did say something out of anger but who can blame him? Eren did something bad too. "Yes... It is."

"Time heals," the elder added, offering Levi a smile.

Levi let himself cry, he'll miss this tribe. "Thank you."

-----

"Goodbye!" Erwin waved at the tribe.

"Come back with cake again!" Sweet Potato shouted as she waved.

"Safe travels!" Connie chuckled at his mate.

Erwin can't help the smile to remain on his lips when he saw the children. All were waving and shouting their goodbyes, the chief and the elders were there as well to see them off.

The whole stay changed Erwin's point of view about Indians. Eren was right that they are all not that bad. It was a wonderful experience.

And meeting Connie and listening to the stories of his current life and how he met his mate, it boosted Erwin's confidence.

One day. He'll find a mate and he'll cherish and love them like Connie. They might be an Indian, a farmer, a servant, or anything. Erwin will accept them for who they are.

"Alright, guys!" Erwin cheered. "Let's cover a lot of miles today!"

When he didn't received a reply, Erwin looked over his shoulder to check on the two. "Guys?"

Erwin blinked. Eren and Levi. Both were riding six feet away from each other. Both never dared to look at one another, tension-filled the gap between them.

Erwin looked ahead, thinking positive. He sighed. "This will be an awkward journey."
