Here's another imagine and I hope you like it! But first, imagine literally exchanging letters with your favorite fictional character. That would be so cool to me (my favorite fictional character is Éowyn, and I think I mentioned that before).

In Mirkwood, you rushed to check your mail. A mystery elf has been writing letters to you, and you always wrote back. It was so interesting and fun to write to that elf. The only hints you have about who they are is that they are male and he lives in Mirkwood. He never revealed his name.

Despite not knowing who he his, you know quite a lot about him. He has a major scar on his face, he has suffered great loss, he has a son, he is sometimes cold and distant, and there are many other details you know about him. You've been writing to him for a year now (which doesn't feel like much to an elf), and you really liked this elf.

Today, you received another letter. Every time you got a letter from your friend, your face lit up in absolute joy. Not too different from the look a child has when they see that their parents made them their favorite dessert. You went home to read the letter. It read:

Dear mellon,
I trust that we've gotten pretty close as we have been sending letters to each other for a year now. Believe me, your letters give me nothing but happiness, and though I have never met you, I have a great amount of love for you (do not take that phrase the wrong way). Perhaps we should meet each other in person, to see what we're like behind the ink and parchment. Write to me saying if you like the idea so we can set up a plan.

Cordially yours, T.O.

A meeting in person? That sounded so exciting! So of course you were going to agree with his idea. You sat by your desk, pulled out your stationery, and dipped the tip of your quill into your inkwell. After thinking about how to word your letter, you began writing.

Good day, mellon,
I love your idea! We've written to each other for quite some time, and that made me curious about how you look like. This may sound a little embarrassing to you, but I've been daydreaming about the day we will meet. So, I need the details on when and where we shall see each other. And to close off, I have grown to love you as well.

You signed your short and sweet letter with your initials and sent it to the elf. It's great that you are finally going to see the one you've been writing to in person. The bond you had with him was tight, and you think that it will grow much tighter. All that was on your mind had to deal with your friend and this meeting.

What was his true personality like? How did he look? Who is he? These questions stayed in your thoughts for the entire day. The excitement you had to see how he was like in reality could hardly be contained.

The next morning, you got a response from the elf:

Dear mellon,
I hope you read this early in the morning, for I wish to meet with you in the most popular eatery in Eryn Lasgalen at around noon today. It is fine if you cannot come at that time, and I apologize on planning to meet you on such short notice. We can make some arrangements to the plan if you're unable to meet me. I will be at the eatery at noon, and let me know if you need me to fix up the plan.
