Haldir was a marchwarden of Lórien, so he didn't have much time for love. But, that didn't stop you from falling in love with him. He was the best, and although a little sarcastic and cocky at times, you were still delighted by his every word, step, and breath. Man, he made you feel so happy.

Unfortunately, you were a mortal Man, so you knew that you might not be good enough for him. The elves had such pretty faces, and they were graceful and elegant. Their voices were so light, their footsteps quiet, and their hair as smooth as the silk they would sometimes wear.

You remember the very first day you ended up in the elven forest. It was about two years ago, and you left your home out of pure curiosity. Wondering what the elves did in the forest of Lórien, you entered the borders, getting caught by the wardens. Haldir, being one of the only elves there who can speak in the Common Tongue, talked to you.

Then, he led you into Caras Galadhon, where you were given a chance to stay in the city, for you were not a danger to the elves. From then on, Haldir became your close friend, and soon the one that you love. Since he could be a little distant from his emotions, you had no clue whether or not he loved you back.

After that, you began learning Sindarin with Haldir and his brothers, although you haven't really gotten the hang of it. Occasionally, Haldir would just talk to you in his native language, and you'd frustratingly tell him that you couldn't understand him, which made him chuckle.

The forest was so beautiful. Trees surrounded the place, with some sunlight peeking through them. Leaves in the forest were so unique. You have never seen leaves like the ones here. It looked so unreal, and you cannot believe that you ended up living in Lórien.

Today, you woke up tired, only wanting to go back to sleep. It was early in the morning, and Haldir was already on duty protecting part of the forest's borders. He did such a good job, mostly thanks to his keen eyes and ears.

An hour later, you went outside to wander around the forest. Caras Galadhon, which means City of the Trees in Sindarin, was only part of Lórien. There were several cities in the elven forest, and Carad Galadhon was the capital city. This was where Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn usually stood. You haven't really seen the other cities.

There was word going around the forest that there were going to visitors from the elven city of Imladris. It was known as Rivendell in the Common Tongue. You had heard about the city long ago, but you have never seen it with your own very eyes.

Nobody knew exactly who was visiting, but then again, there is a high chance that nobody is coming, for gossip is gossip. Chances are that it isn't true. Not that you didn't want visitors. You are technically an outsider, so you couldn't say anything about not wanting people coming into the forest from somewhere else.

However, after a few hours, you saw Haldir walk with an elleth that you've never seen before. He must be leading her to the lord and lady of the forest. You decided to walk up to them to investigate. The visiting elf had light brown hair and brown eyes. She was quite a beautiful elf.

"Good day, my lord and lady." the elf told Lady Galadriel and Lord Celeborn. "I am a visitor from Imladris, and I have come to write about the forest."

The elleth and the lord and lady spoke briefly, and it was agreed that she may stay in Lothlórien for an elvish week. It lasted six days, so she was going to be in the forest for six entire days. You couldn't help but notice Haldir constantly look at her with a small smile. A sharp pain was in your heart.
