Today was the huge day. It was the biggest day of your life, actually. And that fact made you so nervous. You weren't ready. But you had to be. Plans were already made, so cancelling them would upset many people. Including your fiancé, Rúmil. He has been so excited for this day since he proposed.

Of course, today was your wedding day. A day dedicated to union, love, and celebration. Despite all of that, you were incredibly scared. Many of the people from the forest of Lothlórien were attending the wedding. So many people to possibly watch you mess up. Oh you were such a wreck.

Last night, you spoke to your fiancé about today. About how uneasy you were feeling. Rúmil was apparantly not nervous at all. In fact, he couldn't wait.

"I truly am excited." said Rúmil. "Soon, we shall be wed. You and I. Bound together for the rest of our lives."

"So you're not terrified out of your mind?" you asked.

"Why would I be?" Rúmil replied.

You sighed, having many reasons to be scared. "Don't you see? Many people to see me slip up. People we know! If something goes wrong, we wouldn't hear the end of it."

Rúmil realized that you must be horrified. He felt bad and he wamted to make you happy, but changing these plans for the wedding would not be possible. The wedding was only in a few hours, which means if it was cancelled, posponed, or changed so that it was just you and him, the guests would be utterly confused.

"Melamin, you're scared?" Rúmil asked, his hands going to your arms to comfort you. You nodded, looking down. "I understand. We invited so many people, and I know that you don't want them to bother you for messing up. You'll never mess up in the wedding. I know this. But if you do, what the people say won't matter. What matters is that you and I will be married. Trust me, you will do great no matter what."

Looking up at your fiancé's face, you smiled. Get yourself together. You can do this. As long as you got married to Rúmil, everything will be fine. Even if you trip and fall while walking to your beloved, do not panic. Don't be stressed about what others will think.

Now being fitted into your outfit, you remembered Rúmil's words. Remain calm, don't allow anyone to judge you for messing up. Or just try not to mess up. Somebody put a wedding circlet on your head. It was silver and quite shiny.

It was almost time for you to walk down the aisle. You were sick to your stomach. Deep breaths were not helping. Rúmil stood in front of an arch decorated with leaves and flowers. So many people were sitting in benches around the room. Haldir and Orophin could be seen.

Right as you peeked to see what was going on outside, you remembered the engagement party you and Rúmil threw. Haldir spoke at the party, and he had a bit to say.

"Love is such a fascinating thing to me. Especially since I have never fallen in love. We elves can only fall in love once. And when we do, we fall deep. So deep that we can never escape. After we lose our loved one, we can die from heartbreak. Now that my brother has fallen in love, I wish him an eternity of love with his beloved. A love so passionate, gentle, and true where nobody's heart breaks and maybe, someday, you two will bring a happy family." Haldir told the attendants.

After Haldir's small speech, there was a dance. Of course, you shared a dance with Rúmil. As the two of you danced, Rúmil softly whispered sweet words into your ears.
