Okay, so here's the Gildor oneshot I planned to make! I personally think Gildor is pretty underrated but idk.

In Imladris, there were many different types of elves. Elves from the Elder Days, young elves, wise elves, elves that are musicians, and much more. Sometimes, even Men and Dwarves came to this fine city. One of the elves who lived in Imladris was named Gildor, and you loved him.

He knew not of your love, and you were afraid to admit your true feelings. But you had to let it out someday. Before it was too late.

There had to be some way for you to be able to confess without you exactly having to say "I love you." A way that might make him confess first-- if he had feelings for you. If he didn't, all you had to do is accept it. An elf not loving you back isn't a big deal, right?

During the morning, you brainstormed ideas. Gildor was a type of elf who enjoyed giving advice to those in need of it. He was a descendant of the Ñoldor, which was a clan of elves who lived in Valinor and Middle-earth long ago. Gildor was also very wise.

Several ideas popped up in your head. One of them was to make him give you love advice and you use the advice on him.

Gildor was not stupid, so of course he would catch on. And maybe he would tell you that he'll gladly be with you. But that was only a daydream, and it possibly would never happen.

Be brave, you thought to yourself. Anything could happen. Don't doubt yourself. Gildor always said, "Courage comes in unlikely places." So maybe you'll find the courage to execute your plan in some random place.

In order to try to think about what to do, you walked to a tree and sat down, your back facing the bark.

This love situation wasn't exactly like how it was written in the tales you read in your childhood. You had the feelings that people mostly had when they were in love, yes, but you never knew that love would make you so nervous.

When should you do it? Today seemed to be a fine day. The Sun was shining in the blue sky above, not a cloud in sight. Waterfalls made a soft rushing sound and leaves slowly fell from the tall trees. Something about this day felt romantic. Like it was a perfect  day for love.

Hopefully, Gildor wouldn't approach you as you thought. Right now, you weren't ready to tell him anything.

Just in case he did come, though, you tried to build up your courage. Even if it was just a little bit, you needed it. You had to do it today. A little feeling inside of you said that he had to know today. Not tomorrow nor the day after.

But then a tiny voice in your head told you not to do it. The timing wasn't right. He was obviously not going to love you in return.

A small dilemma started in your head. Should you do it? Was it the right time to imply that you love him? What would he think of this?

So far, not even a spark of bravery was inside of you. You couldn't do it. But you had to. Don't back out of this.

It was late in the afternoon already. The Sun was going to set soon,  meaning that the day was nearly over. If you waited any longer, you could be too late. Gildor might find some other elf and fall in love. And you'll have to watch in the background, heartbroken.

Was that what you wanted? Definitely not. That was not what you wanted in your life.

And then, it appeared that somebody was approaching. The elf that was walking to you had golden hair and a smile on his face. It was Gildor, so the one thing you didn't want to happen, happened.

As he gracefully stepped towards you, a thought crossed your mind. You were so in love with him, and you had to tell him. Or at least execute your plan.

"Aur vaer, mellon nin." said Gildor.

"Hello, Gildor." you replied. "How do I start? Um, I n-need your advice... about love."

"I am not knowledgeable in that area, though I am in love with another." Gildor told you. "I will try my best to help you. That's just one thing that friends are for, no?"

You nodded, as you felt courage began to build up inside. Now you were ready to do it. There was no backing down now. Your eyes were locked with Gildor's. A silence fell between you two. An uneasy silence that you really wished to cease. But you had to be the one to break it. You had to speak up, and you couldn't suddenly run off, no matter how much you wanted to.

"I am in love with an elf here. And I want to admit my feelings for them. How? How do I do it?" you asked.

Gildor nodded slowly and looked out into the distance. "Well... I'd say to be direct with it. Use a nice, romantic line, invite them to dinner and tell them that you love them."

This was the moment. This was the time where you had to use his advice on him. At last, you found the courage to do it. It came to you and you were ready.

"Gildor, I suggest that we go to dinner tonight. We could have a candlelight dinner, but it won't be necessary to use a candle to light up the room, for my love for you burns brighter than the stars, the Moon, and the Sun. I love you Gildor, and I have been to scared to tell you. But I am no longer scared. I love you. I. Love. You." you admitted.

There was a pause. A long pause. "I accept your request to take me to dinner." Gildor finally said. "And I love you, too." He pulled you in for a sweet and gentle kiss, making you forget about the fear you previously had.
