I sighed and refreshed my feed, seeing the same thing. It's been 4 hours since I've opened, and there hasn't been any customers.

The door bell opened. I looked up from my phone to see who it is, I'm surprised its a newcomer. I sat up and greeted him.

"Good afternoon sir! How can I help you-"

"Tch, where's your business management books?"

For almost a year I have been working here, he's the first one to ever interrupt me.

"Ehem. You've been staring me down brat."

I shook my head, clearing away my thoughts.

"Right, third shelve on your right sir" And he left immediately, what a rude man. He comes back after a few minutes, carrying three books. He sets them on the counter.

"I'll buy these three, how much?" He bought two Tea books and business management one, maybe he's starting a business. I quickly scan the three books.

"That will be ¥59.67 sir." He gave me a credit card.

"Here you go sir!" I handed back his credit card and paper bag of books.

He justs takes them and looks at me. 'tch-ing' before he leaves.

I widen my eyes in shock and disbelief, has someone stuck a stick up his ass or something?

By the next few minutes, Petra comes in the store and greets, "Hey (Y/n)! Sorry I'm late, Oluo was being clingy" I smiled at her, She and Oluo had been together since, I don't know, 4 years?

I kinda wish I had a relationship like them, but then again, who would ever choose me?

The next thing I know, Petra was waving her hands Infront of me "Hey (Y/n)! You've been staring at me for a while now"

"Ah, I'm sorry, spaced out, I'll take my leave now, thanks Petra!" With that being said, I packed my things and left.

While I was walking through the sidewalk, I remembered that I don't have any milk in the fridge, so I turned back, on my way to the convenience store.

Occupied with my thoughts, I didn't notice the man lurking at the corner.
