"Mommy!"

I sit up and gasp in horror. What the hell was that!

I feel another presence in the room so I whip my head to the doorway to revel Jeremy.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to wake you" He apologizes.

I shake my head softly. "It's fine"

No it's not.  Now my brains making me dream fake memories.

A nurse walks in with something for Vickys IV line.

"You can't be in here son. Family only" The nurse tells him.

"How is she?" Jermey asks. The nurse sighs and looks down at the clipboard. "She's lost a lot of blood"

"Yeah, but she's gonna be okay right?" I sit up from my chair and arch my back from the stiff position I was in. Sleeping on the smallest chair in the world will do that to you.

"She'll be fine Jer. But she needs her rest. Come on I'll take you to school. I'm sure Elenas worrying about you" I say and pick my stuff up from the ground. When Matt left last night, he left the truck in the parking lot for me to drive to school.

Jeremy simply nods and waits for me to gather my stuff before he leaves. I wrap my hand around the keys and quickly catch up to him.

"You don't have to take me" He says rather annoyed. "Nonsense, Elena will chop my head off if your out of my sight" I joke and wrap and arm around his shoulder and drag him through the halls.

When I brought Jeremy to school, I changed into some fresh clothes in the bathroom before meeting up with Elena and Matt in the yard

When I brought Jeremy to school, I changed into some fresh clothes in the bathroom before meeting up with Elena and Matt in the yard.

"They're keeping her overnight to make sure there's no infection, but she should be able to come home soon" I explain to Elena as we walk.

"That's good news" Elena says clutching her books tighter.  "Yeah"

"Did you get in touch with your mom?" Elena asks, this time looking at Matt. I have to bit the insides of my cheek to pull back the rude insult I wanna throw out.

Despite being my mother's sister, she's not nice. She evil, rude, wicked, vile, a bitch, and any other word I can think of. I mean she would leave us alone for hours, get drunk and hook up with random guys.

She might be family but she certainly doesn't act like it.

"Called and left a message. She's in Virginia with her boyfriend, so...we'll see how long it takes her to come rushing home"

"Vickies lucky that she's okay"  Elena says in condolence.

"I know and now there's talk about some missing campers" Matt says, his voice is thankful for the fact that something worse didn't happen. I know I am. Thank god we found her before... "

I shake that thought out of my head, not wanting to think of the worst.

"Did she say what kind of animal it was that attacked her?" Elena asks curiously.

"She said it was a vampire" I respond with skepticism. A vampire? Really?

"What?" Elena says in surprise. Yeah, my reaction exactly.

"Yeah. She wakes up last night and mutters 'Vampire' and then passes out"

"Okay that's weird"

"I think she was drunk" Matt says offering a solution. And it's probably not what happened, I mean a vampire? She'll probably say what really happened once she's clean.

We stop in the middle of the yard and spot Stefan perched on one of the tables.

"So what's up with you and the new guy?" Matt asks, Oh god.

"Matt the last thing I wanna do is hurt you"  Elena says almost apologetically.

"Look um- I'm actually going to go to the hospital. I wanna be there when Vicky wakes up, get the real story about last night" Matt says cutting her off, not wanting to hear it.

I give him a sympathetic look and yell out to him as we walks away.  "Call me when she does!"

"Zach!" I call out, banging on the door

"Zach!" I call out, banging on the door. Like clockwork, I stop by the Salvatore Boarding house, there's never really a day where Zach isn't here.

With a groan I pull my phone out and dial his number.

"Hello?"

"Zach. Where are you?" I say, shoving a hand in my back pocket.

"I just went out for a few supplies."

"Hey why didn't you tell me about Stefan" I say rather confused.

"I was going to, over dinner. Come back around 8, and we'll talk"

I sigh and look up at the house one last time. "Alright I guess. Call me when your back"

"I will"
