"Where's Elena?" Stefan asks when he comes back and notices that Elena isn't here.

"Damon took her inside" Bonnie says, "What!" Stefan yells and proceeds to the tomb door. "Stefan!" Sheila says, stopping him before he can enter.

"If you go in there you won't come out" Shelia explains in warning. Stefan slowly registered her words.

"What did you do?"

"Opening the door didn't remove the seal, it just opened the door" Sheila admits. "What's the seal?"

"Some seals keep vampires from entering. This one keeps them from...coming out"

"Elenas human. She can leave, Anna and Katherine can't" Stefan said making the realization.

"Damon can't. You never were planning to break the spell,  were you?" He questions.

"I told you, I protect my own. Elena can get out, that's all that matters"

Elena screams from the inside of the tomb and Stefan the dumb bastard runs in. "Stefan!" Me and Bonnie yell and try to go after him but Sheila stops us. "You can't just leave him in there, Grams!" Bonnie yells. "He made his choice!" "No" Bonnie says and scrambles for the book. "Just show me what to do and I'll do it" "We are not strong enough. Even if we were able to bring the seals down there's no guarantee that we can get it up again" "You said it yourself. Many things can fuel a witch's power. Help me! Or I'll do it alone"

When Elena runs out of the tomb I'm at a loss for words.

I take a breath and start explaining "Elena, Stefan..."

"He's right behind me" Elena cuts me off. She turns to see Stefan at the doorway. I tone out there talking and work on my stake. If I focus, I'm gonna regret it.

When Anna and another vampire step out I jump from my seat. "Jeremy's fine, he's outside we won't touch him" Anna assures.

"You better hurry" Sheila yells at them. "Stefan, they can't hold it much longer!" Elena yells. Screw it. I think as I run inside Elena right behind me, when I see the brothers I skid to a stop.

"Damon.." I heave out. "Please" Damon's eyes are full of hurt but he listens and follows me and Stefan out.

We run out thankfully in time because the doors shut. I look at Damon sympathetically. Elena hugs him and I think I hear her say I'm sorry. When she steps back I approach him. "I'm sorry as well, about Katherine, and the punch I gave you earlier"

"Wanna make up for it?" I sigh and nod.

When the lights turn on and Anna and her mother appear and look at us they look with fear, well at Damon with fear.

"you knew that Katherine wasn't in there" Damon speaks. "You wouldn't have helped me" Anna admits.

Damon moves to her mother and grabs her neck, squeezing the life out of her. I don't try to stop him, I just move to stand behind him. "Why should you get a happy ending?" He yells.

"Damon, please! You wouldn't have helped me! You know you wouldn't!" Anna yells as she tries to pry Damon of her mother.

"The guard. The one of the church. They really wanted this thing, she promised to turn him. He was obsessed with her. She had him under her spell like everyone else! He let her go'' Pearl chokes out.

She gasps for breath when he lets her go and she leans into Anna. "The last I saw her was Chicago. 1983. She knew where you were, Damon. She didn't care, sorry" Anna says as she embraces her mother, I put my hand on his shoulder sympathetically and follow him out.

Elena went to Bonnies to check up on her and grams, and I told her to call me on an update.
And Stefan and I took Damon to the boarding house.

"Are you gonna be okay?" I ask Damon as he heads to his room. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "I honestly don't know." He admits, he looks at me and the next thing I know grabs my face and smashes his lips on mine.

I pull away from him in shock. "What was that?" I heave out. He sighs and shakes his head. "Nothing. I just need a distraction" I smile and kiss him on the lips, he takes his hands to my waist and pulls me close. He tosses me on the bed and takes my shirt off in a swift move. Well, they say angry sex is the best sex.

"I need one too"
