The Beginning

Founders Day - 2

Damon and I walk through the square when he run into Anna. "Your still around?" He asks. Anna looks both ways before motioning for us to follow.

"There's something you need to know" She says when we're away from earshot. "The vampires from the tomb, are planning an attack tonight"

I cross my arms. "How do you know this?"

"I went to them. They think I'm with them but I'm not. They want the founding families dead"

The first name that pops into my head is Elena, she's a Gilbert, she may be adopted and we might still not know if John is our father but everyone thinks she is one. They'll kill her.

"When is this supposed to happen?" Damon asks. "When the fireworks start" Damon relaxes a bit.

"John Gilbert wants to use that invention on them"

"Well then we can't be here" Anna exclaims.

"It doesn't work. it's been deactivated" I explain. "Well then a lot of people are gonna die"

"Where are they right now?" Damon asks.

Anna looks around before responding "They're everywhere"

"Alaric" I call out, walking to him with Damon.

"You keep those nifty little vampire weapons in the car?" Damon asks as we walk with him.

"Yeah p, why do you ask?"

I take over. "This square is crawling with tomb vampires, I think we might need a stake or to" I say.

"Yeah you got it" Alaric says and rushes off. I perk my head around when I hear Elena laughing. Damon and I walk to them and Damon grabs her free hand.

"What are you doing?" She asks. "Saving your life"

"What do you mean?" Stefan asks. "15 words or less tomb vampires are here. Founding families are the target. Get her out of here, now" Damon says and let's Elena go, making a move to go.

I go after him but Elena grabs my hand, "What about you?" She asks with worry. "They don't know I'm a Gilbert, if I even am. I'm a Donavan, I'll be safe" I say and walk away with Damon.

"What, where are you going?" Stefan calls after his brother.

"That's more then 15 words Stefan"

Me and Damon walk into the old Grayson M.D building and close the door with a loud thud, "Do you have any idea what you've done?" Damon tells John as he stands in front of us.

Damon was against me going but I came either way. "Yes, as a matter of fact I do" John says, me and Damon make our way to him but then suddenly Damon clutches his head in pain.

"Damon? Damon!" I yell as he rolls on the floor, screaming and clutching his head in pain. "Damon!" I yell and crouch beside him, bringing his head to my knees.

John watches, not moving a muscle. "What did you do!" I scream at him as Damon continues to scream out in pain. "The device" John explains with a simple statement.

I frown and then realize. Bonnie....she never removed the spell, she pretended to. John makes a move towards us and I reach into my pocket for my pocket knife.

"Don't you dare touch him!" I yell and pull Damon closer. John ignores me and with the syringe in hand, steps closer. I manage to cut his arm, but at the Sam time he manages to get the knife away from me.

I kick him as he grabs my arm. "No way in hell!" I scream as struggle against him, I kick him where the jewels don't shine and rush to the device.

He grabs my foot and I fall hard on the floor. I groan as I hit the ground, and notice that Damon was no longer yelling.

"Damon!" I go to his side as John gets the device. "Let's go" He mutters as he grabs my arm and hoist me up. I watch in horror as a deputy comes in and takes Damon. And freeze when I see mayor Lockwood being dragged.

"Why is the mayor here!" I demand as he drags me out.

"NO! WHY IS HE HERE!" I yell as John users me out.

"ANSWER ME!" I yell as he shoves me in a car down the street.

"Is that anyway to treat your daughter!" I yell at him. John freezes in the street, but then continues like nothing.

Oh my god....he is my father.

I grunt as I lay down in the back seat of the car. Here goes. I kick with all my might and manage to shatter the window. Yes!

I get out and run to the side entrance of the building since the building is probably on fire so I run to the side entrance, Elena and I use to hang out at the building after school to do homework, so I know the place. I skid to a stop when I see Bonnie and Elena. Bonnie holds her arm, chanting some spell.

"Elena!" I yell and Elena turns and runs to me. "Oh my god! I didn't know where you were, I was so scared I lost you" She say as she embraces me into a hug. I breath into the hug but pull away.

"Damon's in there Elena" I say and rush to the door and I'm about to step in when Stefan and Damon jump out, I breath out a shaky sigh of relief and help Stefan set him down. Damon leans into me and whispers "Anna's dead"

After the whole fiasco, I got a message from Matt saying he was the hospital with Tyler and Caroline.

"What's wrong! What happened?" I yell when I run into the E.R. Matt gets up when he sees me, to my surprise Tyler's there with him. "Tyler swerved the car when he heard this ringing. Caroline got hurt. She'll be alright" He says just as the doors open and Liz steps out. Wait what?! Ringing?

"What's happening? Is she alright?" Matt asks as he stands beside me. Liz sighs with a shaky breath.

"There was some internal bleeding, they're taking her into surgery"

"What else did they say, is she gonna be okay?" I ask. "They're gonna do everything they can" Liz assures.

Matt sits down and his eyes water in pain. Liz glances at me and then to Tyler. "Tyler have you talked to your mom?" She asks him.

"I left her a message telling her I was here" He explains. "You need to call her" She says, her voice cracked. "What is it?" He asks seemingly worried.

"It's your dad" Liz says, forcefully before walking away. Tyler slouches in his chair, probably trying to guess what was happening. I sit down between Matt and Tyler. I rest my head on Matt's shoulder and grab Tyler's hand in support.

Here's the big question.

Why did they take Mayor Lockwood?

And done! I'm writing season 2! But only till this book gets at least 1K.
