"Have you even talked to Bonnie?" I ask Caroline as we walk on the sidewalk.

"No I'm mad at her she needs to make the first move" She says as matter of factly. "Be the bigger person" Elena scolds.

"Impossible in her presence" Caroline replies with a scoff.

"Why are you so pissed at her, anyway?" I ask in confusion. "She's a thief, that's why. I gave her my necklace and she refuses to give it back. It's a matter of principle" She explains.

"All right well, we tried. We're officially out of it" Elena says.

"Good your turn. Where's Stefan? Have you talked to him?" Caroline asks her. At the mention of Stefan I close my hand around my bag. I had lexis purse inside. I still haven't seen him but when I do I'm planning on giving it to him.

Elena sighs, "He's avoiding me"

"Why?" Caroline asks.

"It's complicated" Everything involving vampires is.

Where the hell is he? I thought as I walked into class. He was no where to be found. I sit down in my seat but my eyes scan the room.

"Good morning everyone" Announces a man as he walks in our classroom. The man writes his name on the board and turns to us.

"Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful. I know. Doesn't exactly roll of the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins.
My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather, I will never be able to thank enough.
You might want to pronounce it A-li-ric. But it's A-lar-ic. You can call me Ric. I'm your new history teacher " I zone out his voice and look at Stefans empty chair.

"And then I ended up in the remains of old fells church before I woke up back in the woods" Bonnie shares with fear.

"And you always see you ancestor Emily?" I ask. Bonnie nods. "Do you believe in ghosts?" Bonnie asks me and Elena. "2 weeks ago I'd say no, but now-" Elena is just short by Bonnie.

"I think I'm being haunted" Bonnie confesses. "I don't get it why Emily?" I ask leaning forward.

"Grams says she was a powerful witch back in the civil war days, and that this medallion was hers, A witches talisman" Bonnie explains. "And this all started when you got the necklace?" Elena asks. "I think she's using it to communicate with me" Bonnie admits.

"So what does grams say about it?" I ask. "I can't call her. She gonna tell me to embrace it . I don't want to embrace it. I want it to stop"

I pound my fist on the door. When Stefan opens it I cross my arms. "Elena told me what you did. Real dick move" I sneer at him as I walk through the door.

"Well it's true. I'm not going back, and it's better this way. For both of you" He says, closing the door and putting his hands in his pockets. I whirl around and point a finger.

"WHAT!" I yell.

"Who are you to tell me that! Vampires have played a big part of my life for a long time! You leaving isn't gonna change that!" I close my eyes and take a breath. "I know, but it's a start. You've seen so much since I arrived. I don't want you to go through that anymore" I open my mouth to say something but I really can't argue with that.

"Whatever. I didn't come here to argue" I say as I pull my out my bag. I reach in and pull out Lexis purse. Stefan stares at it, not knowing what it is. I walk to him and hold his hand out, placing the purse in his hand.

"Is this.." He trails off as he looks at it. I nod. "It's lexis. I managed to get it before the cops could" I'm taken back by his next action as he wraps me in a hug. I smile against it and hug him back.

"Thanks Ariel" I smile as we part. He opens it and pulls out what looks like a couple of old photos. He puts them in his pocket and hands me lexis purse. "Here" I stare at him in shock. "No, I can't" I say refusing it.

"Well I can't exactly wear this now can I?" He jokes, pulling out a small moon ring. I smile lightly and take the ring, slipping it on my index finger. I put my hand back and stare at it, it fits like a charm.

I hold my hand up to stop him from giving me something else. "I'll take the ring but nothing else got it?" He nods with a smile. His phone rings and he raises a finger in sorry and picks it up. He answers to the other person on the line by name.

Elena. Of course, even broken up she still calls. He puts the phone away and looks at me. "I'm heading to Elenas. You wanna a lift?"

"Or you know, we can get in my car and drive there like normal people. Besides Bonnies there, don't you think she's gonna be suspicious as to why you showed up at her door in under 5 seconds?" Stefan chuckled. "Alright"

We there in like 10 minutes or less but can't have Bonnie suspicious. I park the car and get out. We walk up the steps and He knocks on the door and Elena opens. I wave a hello and walk in as she walks out.

I go to the living room and put my bag down on the couch. I walk into the kitchen and see Bonnie bitting her nails in nervousness. "Are you okay Bonnie?" I ask, putting a hand on her shoulder. She jumps at the touch and I pull away swiftly.

She shakes her head in apology. "No, I'm fine" She says in assurances. Even though I know she's not, but if she doesn't want to talk about it I don't push the subject. I put my hands on the kitchen island and rap my fingers on it.

Bonnie stares curiously at the ring on my finger. "Cute, where'd you get it?" She asks. I look at the ring and shrug lightly.

"A friend" I say.
