EP 11: New Rules

"Yah... That's enough. He's dead already."
I jumped from my seat and walked towards Jake who was still shooting the dead body in front of him.

It seems like something happened and i am not aware of it.

"Yah I told you to stop-"
I was cut with him pointing his gun towards my direction. I immediately put ny hands up with a smirk on my face.

"I ain't gonna fight, boss..."
I joked around. He rolled his eyes and shot the corpse once again then walked away.

"Poor young soul."
I gave respect to the dead before walking towards where he go.

"Seems like you are starting to get the hang of the underground once again."
I smirked at him the moment i caught up with his trails. Thank god i have longer legs than him. Pffft

"Not at all. It's just betrayal is a big deal."
He commented. I looked at him with disbelief. The man he killed earlier was one of the major transactor of the company and tried to steal the money from the last transaction he made. That was only 5 million dollars but i guess it's already a big deal with Jake.

The last time i checked he wasn't interested with that kind of stuffs. And i checked yesterday.

"What clearly happened?"
I asked him and blocked his path.

"Stop blocking my way."

"Answer my question first."
I smirked at him. He glared at me so i looked back at him.

"Oh- I forgot... I heard Ms. Cha visited your department! Is that..... Why?"
Jake didn't waste any time and tried to punch me in the face. I took his fist with my hand and teased him once again.

"Did she asked you once again about the marriage proposal? I bet you agreed already~"
I smiled playfully. He gritted his teeth and kicked my leg. Dang his feet is small but they pack some punch. My knees curled and i knelt with one feet in front of him.

"Tell me jake.... What happened earlier."
I twisted the hand that i was grabbing and pulled him above my head to slam him on the floor. He acted quick and jumped to prevent the gravity from pulling his body down. He landed on his feet and twisted my arm on my back. I looked up and talked.

I don't wanna die. Not yet.

"I surrender."
I said. He let go of my hands and pushed me away.

"It's true that she went on my department."
He spoke. I catch my breath before replying.

"And then what happened?"

"She said she want happiness."

I tried so hard.

But i can't help it.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA what the actual fvck?"
I held my stomach as i collapsed on the ground. Jake just glared at me.

"she said she'll stay away from me after 30 days. That's only if she can find a reason to be happy."

"Don't tell me you agreed?"

"I have no choice."

That made me cackle even more.

Like seriously?

"That's freakin silly. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Jake glared at me and pointed his gun towards my direction. I let myself recover and stood up, biting my lips as i suppress my laughter.

I cannot with this two. They are so funny.

Can't they just get married so that the problem is already fixed? I cannot understand Jake. tch tch. He seems to protect her yet he cannot really do a thing about it. 

"So.... What's your plan?"
He looked at me with his poker face.

"I have none."
I automatically slapped my face with his statement.

We reached our men's cave after a few seconds. Jake immediately moved towards the dartboard while I rushed towards the bar counter to get some alcohol.

"So you're saying that you accepted the deal without even planning what to do?"
I said while sitting on the sofa while carrying a bottle of whiskey on my hand.

I missed whiskey~ I want to drink it all.

"I just need to give her a reason to be happy."

"And you can't just do that."
I murmured and rolled my eyes. He isn't that naive when it comes to this topics but now, aish.

I looked at the dartboard seeing the darts pierced on the bull's eye.

"I just need to go with the flow. It's only for thirty days, and i am free from this madness."

I dropped the glass of whiskey i was holding to the table and stood up from my seat. I walked towards his direction and took the remaining darts on his hand.

"In order to accomplish your mission, you need a plan."
I threw the dart to the board nonchalantly, not even trying to aim it on the bull's eye. I hit the top corner of the board and earned zero point.

"Because if not,"
I threw once again, this time without even looking at the board. It pierced on the side of the board.

"You might end up losing." 

I threw the last dart on my hand with extensive strength. The dart hit the rubber layer of the board and reflected back towards me. I successfully caught it with my hand, But my hand bled because of how sharp the dart is. 

"The damage will be reflected back to you, If you'll blindly obey your feelings."
I told him. Jake looked at me with confusion.

"am i talking to Park Sunghoon?"
I looked at the board and shrugged, Aiming the bloody dart on my hand to the target.

"You know, It's a matter of common sense."
I threw the dart, successfully hitting the bull's eye.

"In order to win a game, you need to set the rules and plan your own strategies."

Jake smirked at my comment, suddenly thought of something.

"I can win this game easily. This will be my victory."

He said and walked outside.

"Wait up, There's another transaction with the Kim Family later. You don't want to come?"

"You can handle it. I'll leave the business to you."

He always do. tssss
