We all blinked in unison as we stared back at Zion. Eros cursed under his breath. He immediately released his arms from my torso and pressed a hand to my back, lightly shoving me away like I was infectious.
I stumbled, rolling my eyes before focusing back on Zion. "You're back."
Zion paused for a moment as he studied us, trying to determine what was going on before he came in.
He shook his head and made close calculated steps. "After dropping Alex, I came as quick as I could." He jerked his head at the Greek god. "We were coming together but unfortunately, this guy flew out of Star-Crossed inc. like a chicken on steroids."
I turned to find Eros displaying a twisted grin. "Why wouldn't I? Liam and Poppy surely can't fight those horrible riders on their own."
The god folded his arms over his bare chest, daring Zion to counter his actions. Ever since I met Eros, I've never seen him half-naked. His arms flexed flirtingly with muscles, not as thick as Zion's but neither slender like Pedro's.
His skin was just as smooth as the rest of his face and the jeans he wore hang loose on his hips. His wings twitched and ruffled like they were aching to be spread wide. He caught me staring and I quickly looked away.
I wanna touch his wings.
"It wasn't just the riders that attacked us," Liam said as he leaned tirelessly on the low wall that surrounded the roof's perimeter. "We fought some crocottas. Apparently, Alex had called for backup."
