Chapter 68

"Where were you guys?" Renjun asked as he watched multiple alien phenomenons on his phone.

"Somewhere."

Haerin chuckled when renjun rolled his eyes and she clung herself unto Haechan on the sofa. The house went silent as they all minded their own business while Chenle and Jisung created necklaces.

The new couple glanced at each other before going upstairs, leaving the others who didn't notice that they were gone. As they got inside Jeno's room, Hyejin immediately plopped herself on Jeno's bed and he followed immediately after her.

The warm and cozy bed made Hyejin sleepy but she did not want to sleep yet so she kept her eyes open to talk to Jeno if ever he wanted to talk more. Jeno, on the other hand, also did not say anything as he waited for her to say something first.

Without saying a word, Hyejin engulfed Jeno with a hug making Jeno the small spoon which he does not want to. He wants to be the big spoon and Hyejin knows he doesn't like being the small spoon but she still made him one. Jeno huffed and tried to take Hyejin's hands off him but she held him tighter that somehow tickled him a little.

"Don't you dare." Hyejin slapped his abs lighlty.

"I like that. Do it again."

Hyejin slapped Jeno's abs hard making him groan and stretch his butt backwards that pushed Hyejin on the ground with a loud thud. As he heard that, he immediately sat up in worry and looked at an angry Hyejin on the ground, rubbing her right elbow.

"I'm telling this to Jaemin."

"Are you seriously going to ignore me?"

Jeno followed Hyejin wherever she went around the mansion while the other members looked at them weirdly except for Sungchan who somehow enjoyed the scene.

Hyejin went on the large sofa where Sungchan and Shotaro is located and sat beside Sungchan. The boy smiled at her in which she smiled back before looking at the video game on his phone.

"What's that?"

"PUBG. Want to play?"

"May I?" Hyejin stared at Sungchan which made him really uncomfortable while Jeno stood beside Renjun that enjoyed his friend's suffering.

"Oh...So this is how you move him?"

Hyejin purposely got closer to Sungchan and the boy slowly backed away but the more he did, the more she went near. Her face was full of concentration while asking Sungchan on how to do this and that.

"I died! That naked guy who's holding a pink gun killed me!"

"Sorry." Jaemin mumbled.

"Wha- We're a team, man..." Sungchan whined.

"Happens all the time." Jisung scoffed.

Hyejin had her eyebrows ceased while she looked apologetically to Sungchan. The boy smiled at her and told her that it's okay which made her smile and bring her phone back.

"You done?" Jeno gritted his teeth.

"Aww...Don't be angry at him."

Standing up, Hyejin walked towards the direction where an irritated Jeno is. As she got there, she gave him a flying kiss and and stopped just right it front of him with a teasing look.

"He's new here. And he saved my life." Hyejin grinned and kissed his cheek. "Adios."

Hyejin walked away and walked outside making Jeno worry. He became traumatized as he kept thinking that if Hyejin went outside alone, she might be kidnapped again.

Jeno immediately followed her. Seeing that she sat peacefully on the swing, he sighed in relief. Slowly, he walked towards her and sat down on the swing beside it that made her nod at him.

"I miss my home. Like, my old house and my brother with our nonstop arguments."

Hyejin grinned and slowly looked up on the midnight blue sky making Jeno look at it too. No one talked but it wasn't awkward, rather calming. Their somehow heavy breaths synced with each other as they thought of what to say next.

The breeze of air sent shivers for the both of them but the freshness of it made it more soothing. The trees moved along the wind while muffled shouts were heard inside the mansion as the boys played their games.

After a few minutes of silence, Hyejin stood up and went on Jeno's side of swing before crouching down in front of him. The simple action made Jeno's heart flutter yet helooked at her in confusion which made her beam from happiness before cupping his face
