"Hello Seri, sorry it took me a while to get back to your call."
"Hi Dani, that's okay. I sent you a text message too. I have to rain check for dinner."
"I saw it. Are you okay?"
"Yes. Something just came up and I can't put it off."
"Is it work?"
"I'll explain some time. But don't worry about it."
"Okay."
"Ah, also Dani, I know I shouldn't be bothering you about this. It's not my place...but you are really the only person I could ask about this."
"What is it?"
"I wanted to ask you about Jeong-hyeok's number."
"..."
"I just really need to just text him, even just a thank you message. He really pulled me out of a speeding car. You saw the CCTV. I don't have any means to reach him, I tried asking the police for his number but they said it was confidential."
"..."
"...Are you there?"
"..."
"If you deleted it, I understand."
"010-1479-2357."
"...You still have it memorized."
"I don't think I can forget it yet."

Seri looked at the number she wrote hastily on her hand. Dani recited in one breath, Seri had to rely on memory for the rest. Still, finally, she had it. She had wanted to ask for the number from Sunday but didn't want to seem she was ungrateful to her friend for sheltering her.
Without further ado, she tapped the number in her keypad. Predictive texts helpfully showed her names that have the similar numbers so she wouldn't need to type it entirely. Though the odd thing was..
She already had the number saved in her phone.
