Later, they all got together to go on a relaxing trip to one of the nearby islands. They wanted to disconnect from the world, from everything to do with gems for a while. They were happy that the tree, and the gems, were safe, but they had been too immersed in the subject for a long time, and their brains were asking for a much-deserved rest.

As soon as they arrived and left the suitcases in their respective rooms, the boys went their separate ways. Taehyung, Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin, decided to take a short walk to stretch their legs while enjoying a new environment, Jimin taking all the photos he could for his collection. Hoseok and Yoonseul preferred to take a walk around the centre of the island and enjoy their atmosphere while giving themselves the opportunity to get to know each other better, to know the direction their relationship would take, although they wanted to take it easy. They didn't want to force anything, but for everything to come about on their own. Yoongi and Jungkook chose to stay close to the hotel limits, strolling along the shore of the beach and enjoying the sound of the waves and the smell of the sea.

The sky was clear, its blue colour shining in all its glory thanks to the rays of the sun. Although the lightning struck them directly due to the lack of clouds in the sky, the breeze that blew was refreshing and pleasant. The two of them were strolling hand in hand, letting the waves wash over their feet with each swing.

"Have you heard from Haneul?" Yoongi asked as he looked at a group playing in the sea with an inflatable ball.

"From what Hana told me before we left, she seems to be calmer. The top bosses decided to spare Shana's life. Although they still have reservations and are hurt by her betrayal, they acknowledge that without her help they would not have been able to stop Lee from destroying their home a second time."

"I'm glad for her. It must have been terrible, losing her sister after she found her again."

"Yes me too. Although it still amazes me that Shana survived the shock wave. True, she spent a few weeks in intensive care, but in theory, she shouldn't have survived."

"Well, Shana was never quite a dark fairy. She always kept some of her original essences with her. I think that thanks to that he managed to survive."

"Makes sense." Jungkook conceded.

The two continued pacing in silence, enjoying each other's company. At one point, Jungkook convinced him to go into the water, not deep enough, but deep enough for the water to reach their waists. Jungkook didn't take long to splash him with laughter that was soon joined by Yoongi. After a while with his little impromptu game, Jungkook pounced on Yoongi, hugging him and preventing him from trying to get away.

"Let go of me, Jungkook," Yoongi asked between laughter as he was unable to free himself from Jungkook, but still tried.

"Never. You are mine now, Yoongi." Jungkook replied with a laugh. "Now and forever."

"Now and forever, Kook," Yoongi repeated as he tilted his head up, Jungkook meeting him halfway to kiss him gently and slowly because they had all the time in the world.

Their relationship hadn't started in the best way, but Yoongi was glad that he had given him a chance, that he had given himself a chance to be happy. As much as their gems had united them, in the end, it was they who had decided to give themselves to each other, to trust that they would continue together no matter what happened, and not because fate wanted it, but because they had decided so.

"Yoongi."

"Mm?"

"Let's get married."
