"It is exactly that," Haneul confirmed.

"I understand everything except the part of the assistants and the spectators. Are people supposed to be there when the war starts?" Jungkook asked with a frown.

"I really don't know, Jungkook. But we will know in time, as will the result. It may be a mystery now, but as we get closer to the date, things will unfold on their own."

"Not that it leaves me very calm, but it is what it is."

"Don't give it too much thought, Kookie. It is better to have an unknown result than against it. At least that way you don't get demoralized." Yoongi reasoned with him.

"You're right." The boy sighed.

After talking some more, the two of them said their goodbyes, undoing the way they had come. Perhaps it was because he had had an enjoyable experience, or that his gem was finally purified, as it should have always been, but Yoongi felt lighter, more at peace with himself, and less anxious. When they reached the surface, Hana greeted them with relief. They had spent over three hours in there. Although they had been half an hour, at most, the sun had already set, and the lights emitted by the wings of the fairies illuminated the place.

The three of them left the tree room and stayed in the room that preceded it, where there was a desk that Yoongi overlooked the first time and a pile of books scattered on it.

"Aren't you afraid someone might read all this?" Yoongi asked as he scanned the contents of the books and newspaper articles.

"They have protection against prying eyes. They will see simple magazines and absurd content if they try to read it."

Yoongi raised his eyebrows in shock and continued flipping through the pages of the books as Jungkook shared the additional information and theories to Hana. Most of what he read above were about gems, the origin of the tree, and fairies, as you would expect. Also, it was something quite complicated and dense, almost as if you were trying to read Don Quixote. So he soon turned his attention to the collection of newspaper articles, something that was surely much more enjoyable to read. Only a few were from more recent years, mostly focused on the many inexplicable deaths that were happening with increasing frequency, and home burglaries and vandalism. Some were crossed some out, not being of interest, while others were circled in red. The latter showed a certain similarity to the pattern by which the shadows were guided when attacking, and Yoongi got the creeps just thinking that he could have finished the same.

The following article, one that was many years old and kept well despite passaging time, spoke of a kind of tribute that people made to the tree that was kilometres away, just as they had said Jungkook. People would attend to deposit their gems on the tree trunk as thanks for allowing them to find their soul mate. The trunk of the tree was tall and wide enough for nearly a thousand people to crowd around it.

"Attendees confirm that it is an exceptional experience that must be lived at least once in a lifetime and that it connects you more with your soul mate and with the tree itself. We also attest to this, as it has been a wonderful experience. In fact, we have witnessed the meeting, for the first time, of two sisters who were separated at birth. It was a moment full of emotion and surprise because no one expects to find their soul mate in an event like this. Therefore, we will make sure that this news reaches the entire world, and that more people can enjoy this wonderful feeling of connection, not only with your other half but with the creator of the gems himself."

Assistants. Let the news reach the entire world.

"I think I found it!" Yoongi exclaimed, interrupting the conversation between Jungkook and Hana.
