She walked through the empty corridors, nothing but her footsteps hitting the floor were heard. She ran as fast as she could with her books by her side, and trying her best to fix her tie that was a bit messy.

She finally spotted the room she was looking for, and quickly straightened her tie and held her book a bit tighter before stepping in. She pushed open the door and was met with the confused face on Severus face and half her class starting at her.

"You're late" Snape spoke with his usual hard tone in his voice. "I'm sorry professor it won't happen again" Elaine responded with her head down while everyone looked at her.

"You are particularly lucky i am in no quiet mood to babysit today, but next time it's a Detention" Snape said.

"Thank you Proffesor" Elaine said. Snape spoke again and this time instructing Elaine to sit at her usual seat next to a Gryffindor girl named Parvati. She made her way towards her seat and Snape spoke again.

Elaine couldn't help but look towards the back of the class where she spotted him. The boy who made her be in fear of being alone with another boy again. The boy that broke her. She tried not to thing about it, because she ought not to throw up in the middle of class.

"As i was saying before i was rudely interrupted, we have a group assignment of 3. You'll have to write a 12 inch long essay about the properties of moonstones in potion-making." Snape spoke.

The class filled with smiled at the mention of partner group but was soon diminished by "Partners i'll pick". Loud groans went across the class room before Snape started assigning everyone their partners.

"Hermione Granger, Lee Jordan and Aurora Abernathy"

"Parvati Patil, Pansy Párkinson, and Ron Weasley"

"Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott and Dean Thomas"

"Seamus Finnigan, Katie Bell and Vincent Crabbe"

Elaine heard other familiar names being called, until she eventually heard her name.

"Elaine Snape, Draco Malfoy and Adrien Cohen"

Elaine froze. Why was she so unlucky? What did she ever do to deserve this. She kept calm on the outside and Draco looked from across the classroom for her in a worried expression and signal if she was ok.

She nodded her head hesitantly and she tried to focus on the class without passing out. She kept telling herself it would be ok. At least she had Draco. He would make sure she was ok. He would protect her.

The whole lesson felt like an hour long and she couldn't concentrate on anything Snape had to say. Draco eyed her from across the room making sure she was fine, but practically the whole class could tell she was anxious at this point.

As soon as class ended, she grabbed her things without hesitation but the sound of "Elaine please stay after class" made her hurry burn down and walked over to her "father".

He waited till everyone was out the class until he spoke. "Are you ok?" he ask with his usual cold tone but a bit toned down.

"Yeah why wouldn't i be?" Elaine asked trying to play it cool. As much as she wanted out of this project, she couldn't risk telling Severus about Adrien.

"You seemed... different during this class. Are you sure you're fine? You should go to the infirmary" Snape suggested with a confused expression written across his face.

"Severus i assure you im fine" Elaine responded trying to deeply convince him and hoping he'll buy it. "Very well..you can head to your next class" Severus spoke hesitating.

"Thank you professor" Elaine said before stepping out of the cold classroom and being met with a familiar pair of blonde hair at the door.

He instantly came up to her and asked if she was ok. Elaine nodded hesitantly and he reassured her she would be fine. He dragged his long fingers across her chin and lifted it up to meet his eyes.

"I promise you you'll be fine. I won't let him do anything to you. You trust me right?" he asked her.

"Of course i do" Elaine answered truthfully.

"Come on let's go to class" Draco said instructing her to take his arm.

"Blaise look, all im saying is that i don't think peanut butter is all that. get over it" Elaine responded while biting on a raspberry scone.

"Peanut butter is great- woah hottie coming our way" Blaise interrupted his own sentence which cause Draco and Elaine to look.

Elaine instantly recognize the girl that was coming her way, Aurora. Just by looking at her walking, her perfect long golden hair bouncing in the air, her perfect body showing off, and her beautiful blue eyes and perfect thin lips shining through. Damn even her height was attractive. She was a quiet short girl, maybe 5"3? and lots of boys tent to find shorter girls more attractive.

She envied her. Aurora was perfect. Her voice. Everything about her. Just the mere sight of her intimidated her, and what Draco thought of her. Did he think she was pretty? Of course he did she's gorgeous.

She was nervous of the fact of Draco leaving her again. I mean who would blame him? for leaving her for the perfect girl. She wouldn't even be mad she'll understand.

Elaine was frankly the opposite of Aurora, Elaine had silky dark hair, almost black that went right above her waist, honey colored brown eyes, and plump pink lips. She was deadly pale, while Aurora had a natural tan to her, and she was awfully tall compared to the other girls. She was 5"7 almost as tall as some boys.

Elaine hated everything about herself. She always had. Her remarking features of her father shining through always bothered her. She's accepted some parts of herself, but not fully.

Aurora made her way toward Elaine and asked her in a shy voice, "May i sit with you and your friends? I don't have many friends so far" Elaine slightly nodded, while she wasn't thrilled a perfect girl was sitting next to the boy she was in-love with, she knew it wasn't her fault.

Blaise immediately started going at it, and flirted with her. Like the many times he's done with Elaine. Elaine had no right to be jealous, but she couldn't help but be hurt.

Draco eyed Aurora like she was a piece of food. He looked like he immediately forgot about Elaine the moment she walked in the room and that bothered Elaine. She didn't like it.

She had no right getting mad at Draco, after all they were dating. Frankly, she wasn't sure what they were. Boyfriend and Girlfriend? Friends with Benefits? confused? The label "Friends" seemed welled enough.

After a while of constant flirty between Aurora and Blaise, she decided she got enough of it and she pulled Draco aside and said "Let's go talk about Potions assignment" He reluctantly nodded and excused himself while trailing behind her in the Great Hall.
