This summer was chaos. It has never been this bad. Elaine once again, stayed with the Weasleys. Ever since Voldemort came back, Snape needed Elaine safe.

Elaine and the Weasleys haven't gone out nearly all summer. Everywhere was stormed with Death Eaters terrorizing people, it was absolutely horrible.

It's almost the beginning of Elaines sixth year at Hogwarts, and to be honest, she wasn't excited at all. She was quite scared, and very hesitant of going this year.

On this particular night, Elaine was getting ready for bed as she's been doing for the past few months. Her life felt dull and boring, especially with Draco's absence.

On the night of the attack, Lucius was arrested. Elaine was aware of that, and how much of a hard time Draco must be having. She felt dearly for him.

Elaines tried to contact him all summer with how he was, but she's gotten not one response. She's wonder as too why. The day that she was discharged from St. Mungo's, he promised he would talk to her as much as possible. But he hasn't.

He hadn't even asked how she was healing, or how she was. Nothing. She knew sometime was wrong, Draco wasn't like this. Or maybe she was looking into it and he just hadn't talk to her.

Elaines wounds were all healed by now. Her scars were barely visible, an faded. However, she had lost of scars. Mostly on her body, and some on her face. She was so extremely ashamed of them. She often found herself avoiding revealing clothes as much, to hide them. Her friends reassured her it was fine, but Elaine couldn't show them just yet.

The ones on her face were small, she could hide with makeup, but there was a scar that went upwards on the right side of her upper lip. She hated it.

She was extremely insecure of them. She cried most night, she was so ugly and horrible. How could she ever love herself now? but however, she had to get her priorities straight. Regardless of Draco not responding to her, she kept trying.

Elaine grabbed a pen, and the nearest piece of
paper she could find.

Dear Draco,

How are you doing? Please i need to know you're okey. I know it's been hard. I know you haven't responded to me, but i'll keep trying till you do. I'll see you in a few days my love. Remember, I love you, and always will.

With love, your El.

Elaine scribbled down the notes to give to her owl, and her brain wander some more.

With all the chaos in Elaines life, there was something good. Her OWLS score came even better than she expected.

(O) DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS
(O) CHARMS
(O) POTIONS
(O) ASTRONOMY
(O) HERBOLOGY
(O) TRANSFIGURATION
(O) HISTORY OF MAGIC
(O) DIVINATION
(O) ARITHMANCY

Elaine was beyond excited when she learned she gotten all Outstanding on her OWLS, she was happy the work she put in.

Elaine stood there, brushing her teeth, when she heard a bunch of noise downstairs. What could it be?

She stepped outside the bathroom, to be met with Hermionie outside the room aswell. Hermionie had arrive about 2 days prior, and Elaine wondered what could be all the ruckus downstairs.

It wasn't until she heard the voice of Harry that she came running down. She immediately hugged him, and said "Harry!! Why didn't you say you were coming?".

Harry explained the whole Dumbledore situation and Elaine dismissed it. After a few screams, the trio and Elaine settled upstairs in Ron's room. They sat with the window open, burning a piece of paper.

For the first time in a while, Elaine felt distressed. She laughed with her friends, trying to desperately forgot about her life, and mostly Draco.

The next day

Walking through the halls of Diagon Alley didn't feel the same as it did before. All the magic it had, all the joy it was gone. Ever since the Death Eaters took over, Diagon Alley hasn't been the same.

The place is so empty, it barely has any single soul, besides the twins joke shop. It seems it's the only light, and place people who to now.

As Elaine walked through the doors of the Joke shop, she couldn't help but be amazed by it. Fred and George amaze her everyday by their dedication and hard work, they deserve this, she knows it.

Elaine looked at all sorts of cool object, until she stumbled upon Hermionie and Ginny looking at the "Amortentia" table. She had as to no idea why, but she just went over them with them.

"Hello ladies" Elaine heard besides her and instantly knew it was the two idiots who ran this shop.

Elaine rolled her eyes at the twins remarks and looked over at them. "Love potions eh?" they said in union with which made Elaine smile and the twins smile brighter.

"They really do work!" They said which made Elaine raise a brow. "Oh do they now?" Elaine spoke with sarcasm.

The twins simply ignored her sarcastic remark and continued. "But the way we're hearing sis, you're doing just fine on your own" The twins spoke.

Ginny who was besides Elaine, immediately got defensive and respond with "meaning?" and they responded with "aren't you currently dating Dean Thomas?".

How come Elaine didn't hear about this? she was beyond confused but managed to shrug it off. It's none of her business, as Ginny said anyway.

After the trio and Elaine were finished making their purchase, they headed out to check out Diagon Alley.
Elaine couldn't help but feel down by seeing all of this. It's so bad.

They walked until they made it to Ollivanders. It was completely destroyed, teared apart. They decided to check it out, so they walked in and it was even worst.

As Elaine was looking around, she heard the prying voice of Ron. "Guys.. is it just me or do Draco and Mummy look like two people who don't want to be followed" Ron said looking out

Elaine immediately went over to Ron and Harry, and her heart dropped when he spotted him. Draco and Narcissa were standing very suspicious and about to go onto an alleyway.

"We have to see what their up to" Harry said immediately going outside. "Guys!" Elaine said grabbing onto Harry sleeve to stop him.

"We should respect his privacy? i'm sure it's nothing. If your so bloody curious i'll just ask him when we're back at Hogwarts.." Elaine said hesitantly.

"Elaine how long has it been since you talked?" Harry asked which made Elaine go silent. "Exactly. You might trust him, but we don't. I'm following him, with you with us or not" Harry said silently trailing behind.

Elaine sighed and she had no choice but to follow. Besides, she couldn't deny she wasn't curious as-well.

They followed Draco and Cissy, until they stop to enter a shop. Borgin and Burkes. What was he doing there? Elaine trailed behind Harry, until they successfully managed to make it to a rooftop.

They all laid down, looking down at what Draco was doing. It seemed he was interested in a cabinet? This made no sense to Elaine. Draco wouldn't travel
all this way for a simple piece of furniture.

Elaine couldn't deny something wasn't wrong. Draco looked horrible, bags under his eyes, his eyes seemed
different. Almost like a plead for help.. he seemed worried and always on alert.

Harry accidentally moved, and when a guy noticed, they all quickly went more down, until the guy unfortunately closed the blinds. Leaving the trio and Elaine confused. What was Draco up to?
