"I won't let you go. I will stay strong! I won't let history repeat itself. I need you, Aahil," murmured Kinza to herself and ran into her room. She performed the ablution and cried in sujood.

"Ya Allah, you are the strongest of all, and you are the giver of life and death. Please don't take my Aahil away from me," cried Kinza.

Kinza looked around, sat quietly, and burst into tears, "Aajao na Aahil, mujhe, tang karo, pareshaan karo, kuch meri suno..kuch apni sunao, aajao Aahil."

(Come back, Aahil, tease me, irritate me. Hear me out and let me hear you, come back Aahil)

Aahil was all over Kinza's mind but nowhere in sight, and that feeling broke her as she might not be able to feel his presence ever again.

Kinza couldn't help but think of the days when she was with Aahil, and everything was perfect even though those days weren't very smooth.

"Why don't you leave me? I am telling you, Aahil, you are betraying me," flamed Kinza in anger.

"I can't even think of betraying you, Kinzu," replied Aahil.

"Why?" asked Kinza.

"Why is that even a question? Whenever I even think about those days when we will grow old, you might leave for me. My heartbeat slows down, and I start to panic. I can't even think of that, so how would I think of betraying you? I won't ever do that to you, my sweetheart," said Aahil and placed a kiss on Kinza's forehead, then slowly tracing towards her cheeks.

Aahil looked straight into Kinza's eyes, and Kinza moved back after a while, blushing, and her cheeks turned red.

"Aa...aahi... I am leaving," said Kinza and left the room while Aahil laughed at how shy she was even after a year of their marriage.

...........

"You said you couldn't think of leaving me and living without me in old age, then how do you expect me to spend half of my life without you," thought Kinza.

Kinza's thoughts were interrupted when Hayat came and shook her, "Aahil is conscious now."

"Allah ka shukar" said Kinza.

(All thanks to Allah)

"He was just iterating Allah's name, and his body needed more blood, so Kayan and Hasti have donated blood to him," said Hayat, and seeing Kinza's expression, he further added, "Don't worry. For now, he doesn't need blood, and we didn't ask you to donate as you weren't in the state, and the doctors said they might need it again."

" I just want him to be fine and talk to me like he used to do before," whispered Kinza with all the energy she had inside her.

"He will be fine soon, Insha Allah. Allah is the healer of all wounds," encouraged Hayat.

A few hours passed, and soon the doctors would give some news about Aahil. It seemed like the Malik's were on a bridge that would collapse anytime, or they could walk past that bridge to get over to the end. Everything was so unpredictable and, most of all, Aahil's life.

The I.C.U. Opened and closed after every interval. Kinza kept sweating and panicking, and she hated that she still didn't know how to control this very well. But she hadn't even stayed anxious for so long, for more than 24 hours!

"It is certainly God's miracle, he is out of danger, and you all can see him after a few hours," told the doctor and left smiling.

Kinza trembled and couldn't believe her ears. Huma came and hugged her, "Bachhi tumhare dua lag gae" (Child, your prayers have been answered)

"Ammi aapki bhe, aap toh maa haina," cried KInza with happy tears.

"Aap dono ke. Ek ke kadmo ke neeche Jannat hai toh dusre haath pakadke saath chalne waalli humsafar hai Jannat tak" commented Hasti.

The Malik's finally had a meal in the room one by one, and Huma said, "Sukoon mila mere dil ko aur jisne ye sukoon diya hai uska shukar karna chahiye," and everyone prayed Nfal namaz and thanked Allah for the blessing.

The doctors informed them that they could visit Aahil, but as he has multiple fractures, he won't be able to move, and they should go one by one.

Huma went in first, and Aahil responded to her salam. She couldn't bear to see the bruises on her child's face and came out weeping, and Kayan hugged her and indicated Kinza to go in.

Kinza went in with trembling feet, Aahil's lips turned into a smile, and Kinza couldn't help but look down as she saw Aahil.

He was smiling from the right side, but his left side was completely bruised.

Kinza mugged up all her courage and asked Aahil, "How are you feeling now?"

"Alhamdullilah, better," replied Aahil smiling.

Kinza couldn't stop her tears and kept her hand beside Aahil's, touched his hair, and cried, " I am sorry, Aahil, sorry for doing this to you. I love you so much."

"You do?" teased Aahil.

"Of course, I do," frowned Kinza, and then she looked at Aahil's state and felt guilty. A tear rolled down her cheeks.

Aahil kept his hand on Kinza's hand and said, "Kinzu, don't cry. I am helpless; I can't wipe your tears. Now come on, stop crying if you love me."

Kinza wiped her tears and asked, "Do you hate me?"

"Why would I hate you?" laughed Aahil.

Kinza just looked at Aahil, indicating his condition, and Aahil looked at her puzzled.

"What? You are acting as if you hit me with the car."

"I didn't, but Ali did this, and he is connected to me," informed Kinza.

"First of all, why did he do this? And secondly, he is connected to you or was?" scoffed Aahil.

Kinza laughed at the way Aahil got mad because she connected herself with Ali. If his facial expressions could write, they would say, 'Oh, hello madam, you are only connected to me.'

Kinza then narrated the whole story to Aahil, even about the day she went to Ali's house.

"Oh, Allah! Kinzu, are you fine? You drove the car! Mere bacche tumhe kitne takleef hue hoge aur kitne panic attacks aae honge haina," asked Aahil concerned, and Kinza couldn't stop admiring the man in front of her.

"Look at your condition, and you still care about my stupid attacks and care to ask if I am fine or not. I am in front of you fit and fine!" expressed Kinza.

"I will even be worried for you on my deathbed," said Aahil.

"Don't say such things!" warned Kinza.

"Kinzu, but why would you believe him, and why didn't you talk to me?" asked Aahil.

Kinza glanced towards him and then decided to tell him everything, opening up in front of him and now she knew it was important for him to know.
