Kayan held the bundle of joy in his hand and placed it in Hayat's arms. A tear rolled down Hayat's cheek, and then she smiled.
"We are parents now, Hayati," said Kayan holding baby girl(Imani)
"Do you plan to call me Hayati in front of our children, too?" asked Hayat blushing.
"Obviously! Even they should know how much I love you, and they should be inspired by us and will love their spouses too," said Kayan and placed a kiss on Hayat's forehead.
"Do you want to hold her?" asked Kayan.
"Take Isam and then give Imani in my arms. I haven't yet learned how to hold two babies at the same time," said Hayat, chuckling.
"Don't worry, the pediatrician will be here anytime, and you have to listen to her carefully, also. Do the exercises your physiotherapist asks you to do," said Kayan.
"I know Jaani now; tell me, where is Kinza? Has she seen them?" asked Hayat.
"No one has seen the babies yet," said Kayan.
"Give Imani in my arms and ask the nurse to call them," said Hayat.
"I will call Aahil later; otherwise, you will have to wear your hijab. Stay comfortable," said Kayan."
"Chachu hai woh (He is an uncle). He has been waiting for so long and was excited like a kid all these months. Let him in and place my hijab properly," said Hayat.
Everyone came inside, and Aahil went towards Hayat and said, "Congratulations, Hayat bhabhi. It just seems like yesterday when I saw you for the first time, and you fell four times in front of us."
"Not four times, three times," said Hayat, and everyone laughed.
Aahil held Imani and smiled widely; then, he said, "Aww, it looks like she is chuckling. Masha Allah," said Aahil.
"Areyy, I thought you would take Isam first," teased Kayan.
"I love them both equally; Imani was in Hayat bhabhi's arms, so I took her," said Aahil defending himself.
"Paltu, look at how he is changing his statements. Till yesterday, he said that he will love Isam more and now look at him..." said Hasti laughing.
"Awwwww" squealed Huma, and everyone laughed at Aahil.
"Dammnn Kinzu, look at her she is so tiny, I am scared," said Aahil.
"Pyaare haina (They're cute, right?)," said Kinza and stood beside Aahil holding Isam.
"Yes, Masha Allah," said Aahil and then took Isam in his arms.
"Kayan Azaan de thee na?" (Did you give Azaan?) asked Huma, and Kayan nodded.
"Aur khajur?" (And date)," asked Aahil.
"Ha mere bhai" (Yes, my brother) said Kayan.
All of them stayed for a few minutes, and then Huma instructed everyone to go out except Kayan as Hayat needed to take a rest. Kinza and Aahil kept the babies in the cradle, and Kinza gave a peck on Hayat's and said, "I am here; call me if you need anything."
"Hayat beti, don't worry about anything," said Huma
"Yes, Ammi, why are you saying this?" asked Hayat, a little concerned.
"You both are parents now, and there are certain things no one will understand, but you both need to understand each other even better now so that you both raise your children in a way you both want, not how I or anyone else wants. Of Course, I can guide you all but remember every parenting is different, and this generation is different.
