"Kinzu, but why would you believe him, and why didn't you talk to me?" asked Aahil.

Kinza glanced towards him and then decided to tell him everything, opening up in front of him and now she knew it was important for him to know.

"I would never believe him, but I was desperate for my father's memories, and I didn't tell you anything because I was scared you would judge me, and we lacked communication, so I thought you wouldn't understand. I am sorry," replied Kinza.

"The only reason I was disturbed is Ali, he was blackmailing me with your pictures, and as a husband, it is my duty to keep your dignity. Later, you told me you were in love with him. I wouldn't even come to New York, but I came to see you and needed the answer to my questions. When I came here, I got to know that Rizvan uncle gave your number to Ali, I knew that things were different then what I thought, and so I am sorry for not trusting you," said Aahil, full of regrets.

"I didn't know that Uncle gave him my number; I had no idea about this. Anyway, it wasn't your fault, but it was our fault. We loved each other but didn't confide in each other," exclaimed Kinza.

"We shared our stories but never shared our emotions," added Aahil and Kinza nodded, "Insha Allah, we won't repeat the same mistakes, and now all I want is you to be fit and healthy."

"Maam, the police have come for investigation. Should we send them inside? I asked the nurse, and both of them nodded.

Kinza and Aahil gave their statement to the officer and filed a complaint against blackmail and murder, and the officer assured them that they would catch Ali. Aahil could see the relief on his wife's face, but he could also see how pale she had become.

Kinza turned towards Aahil and said, "You rest now, and I will be back in a while."

"Ha ab toh jaoge he tum," whined Aahil.

"Ab ye drama kyu Mr. Aahil Malik," asked Kinza and rolled her eyes.

"I look ugly, right? with all these marks on the face," said Aahil.

"You always look handsome because your heart shines bright, and I have fallen in love with your soul first. You are beautiful, and nothing is more beautiful than my beloved one coming back to me and my Allah being so kind to me," smiled Kinza and kissed Aahil's forehead.

“You remember you had written, 'I'll cherish you forever like that first perfect picture of mine, but then I couldn't keep…'

I am the same picture you just got it back from the recycle bin” winked Aahil.

That night everyone went home except Hasti. Kinza had to come the next day in the morning, followed by Kayan and Huma. Hayat couldn't stay alone as she had to feed her babies. Two weeks passed, and Aahil was much better, and Kyan handled all his work from New York.

Kinza usually took Aahil for a ride in the garden in his wheelchair. She fed him breakfast and gave him medicines while Aahil couldn't help but fall in love with her all over again. However, he felt terrible for Kinza, who had to go through all this.

"Mai kitna laachaar hogaya hu na Kinzu?" mrumured Aahil

(I have become so powerless, right)

"Don't say such things, Be thankful to Allah (s.w.t) and we have Allah with us. Aahil, you will be fine soon and walk on your own feet; there are so many out there who dream about it," explained Kinza.

"Hmmm, you are right," said Aahil.

"Now come on, cheer up!" squealed Kinza.

"Only if you recite the Quran for me," requested Aahil, and Kinza smiled.

Kinza sat on the grass and started to recite the Quran with meaning. They spoke about Yunus (A.S.) and decided to go back to the hospital building when the police came towards them.

"Mr. and Mrs. Malik, there is good news for both of you," informed the officer, and both of them nodded for the officer to continue; he added, " Ali Khan has been shot dead. We were trying to catch him, but he ran, so our officer shot him. Ali Khan was even involved in drug dealing. You both are safe now."

"Good," commented Kinza with no emotions, and Aahil just looked up at her.

"We may take our leave. Have a good day, sir, and Maam. Take care, and we hope you get well soon," said the officer smiling.

"Thanks, you too," smiled Kinza, and they left.

"Did you just say good?" asked Aahil, surprised.

"Yes, I did," replied Kinza casually.

"You are happy about someone's death?" asked Aahil.

"I am not happy about his death. I feel safe, and honestly, I don't care about him being alive or dead because he tried to kill you, so why would I even think about him" shrieked Kinza.

"Toh hum usse Jahannam mai jalne ke badduadenge?" entreated Aahil.

(So we should curse him for going to hell)

"Na baddua dungi, na he dua karungi. Nafrat hai usse magar mere insaaniyat nahi mari hai" replied Kinza.

(Nor would I curse him, neither would I pray from him. I hate him, but my humanity isn't dead!)

"Kinza, I am sorry for asking so many questions, but wasn't Ali your childhood best friend?" asked Aahil.

"He was.." declared Kinza.

"I am sorry, Kinzu," said Aahil, not knowing what to say.

"It is fine, Aahil. A lot has happened, and honestly, now I don't feel anything. I had forgiven him last time, but this time it is tough. I know we should forgive others, but I can't bring myself up to that in this situation," whispered Kinza.

"What happened last time? I mean, in your college?" asked Aahil but immediately regretted it when he saw Kinza's face changing colors and suddenly went pale; he added, "I am sorry."

"It is fine, I can tell you," smiled Kinza weakly.

Slowly Kinza recalled her past, and anyone could say Kinza's life had taken too many turns, not just one!
