Aneel: Hasti! So you can marry Afzan but you can't marry me right?
Hasti: I told bhai, I don't want to marry but.....
Aneel: I have got it. I thought you loved me but I was wrong. May you have a good married life with Afzan.
Hasti: Aneel....I don't feel anything for Afzan. It is just that I don't want to get married to anyone, both of you deserve better.
Aneel: DESERVE BETTER IS A MYTH. Even I don't deserve you but yes I WILL TRY TO BE BETTER! I WANT TO BE BETTER FOR YOU because this is love and not some competition where one decides who deserves the love trophy.
Hasti: I don't know what I should say....
Aneel: It is okay, I am done. Take care.
Hasti didn't know what to do she thought of telling Kayan about it but no one would understand her reasons. She didn't want to get married to anyone, she had always loved Afzan but after her wedding things changed. She tried to love her husband but he was not worth it.
"Hasti, are you crying?" said Kayan coming in Hasti's room.
"Bhai, I don't want to marry Afzan!" said Hasti.
"Why? Is everything okay?" asked Kayan.
"Yes bhai! But
"Bhai, I just don't want to marry anyone." said Hasti
"Do you like someone else?" asked Kayan suspiciously
"No bhaii and that doesn't matter." said Hasti trying to avoid the question.
"It does matter Hasti!" said Kayan sternly.
"Bhai I am a divorced woman why do you want to ruin anyone's life." said Hasti in tears.
"Hasti, past is past, it shouldn't matter to you or anyone else now." said Hayat placing a hand on her Hasti's hand
"I need to stay alone." said Hasti and ran out of the room.
"Hasti stop crying. "said Aneel and stood beside Hasti.
How did you know I am here?" asked Hasti to Aneel while wiping her tears off.
"I actually overheard your conversations with Hayat and Jiju and saw you leaving the room...." said Aneel.
"AneeI really like you a lot and I don't want to marry Afzan but I can't marry you too. I don't know what to say...." said Hasti in tears.
"Hasti i am sure you are hiding something. What is it? Please tell me!" pleaded Aneel and looked at her.
"An....Aneel....... I can't...marry you because.....I..... I am..... destroyed." said Hasti stammering.
"What do you mean by that ?" asked Aneel curious.

I always try to respect him, love him and be a good wife but I guess he never loved me. I was married at the age of 16. Farooq was an abusive desperate and filthy man. I was raped every night I was pregnant after 40 days of my marriage. I was happy even though I was young and I didn't really want a baby at at the age of 17 . I was told to rest and the doctor said it was a difficult pregnancy but Farooq never wanted the child.
Farooq used to hit me frequently after marriage but since I was pregnant his father told him not to hit me but one fine day he came back home drunk as usual. I went towards him and give him coffee. He spat it out and slapped me hard. He push me towards the bed and tried to come close and when I denied he hit me again. He pulled me by my hair and hit me hard I started to cry. I screamed but no one came to save me they didn't care.
He pushed me off the bed and kicked me hard on my stomach, the last thing I remember before fainting was blood. I woke up in the hospital on the bed and what I knew, I had lost my child. What was worse that Farooq said, "I never wanted this child. This child was not mine, pata nahin Kiska ganda Khoon tha".
The doctor said I could never be pregnant again because my uterus was destroyed. I lost my child and I lost everything and now nothing can be done.

"Is this the reason you don't want to marry?" asked Aneel.
"Yes!" said Hasti in tears.
"Hasti....so do you love me or you don't?"asked Aneel.
" I will always but bhai has decided something else for me. " said Hasti.
"Hasti please. I really love you. I have lost you once, i can't loose you again " said Aneel.
"I can't be pregnant ever. Why do you want to this to your self? Why do you want to destroy your self?" asked Hasti.
"Listen! So according to you, you are destroying Afzan. It's better you destroy me, destroy the one you love."
"Aneel....you can never be a father!" said Hasti in tears.
"We can adopts kids! Aur tumhe sambhalna aasan hai kya? (Is it easy to handle you)
"Aneeelll....you are soo ..." before Hasti could complete her sentence Aneel cut of her and told, "Hasti for once, for once stand up for yourself. Do what you love." said Aneel frustrated.
"I will...." said Hasti and went towards Kayan.
"Hasti is everything okay?" asked Kayan to Hasti.
"Bhai, I need to talk to you about my wedding." said Hasti.
"Ha bolo ( Yes say) you can tell in front of everyone." said Kayan and Hasti looked at Hasti.
"Bhai I can't marry Afzan.....because ...." said Hasti and stopped.
"Because what? You like some one else?"asked Kayan.
"I like her!" said Aneel and everyone looked at him.
"Toh problem kya hai?" ( So what's the problem ) asked Kayan and laughed.
"Bhai, i am fixed to Afzan...." said Hasti in a low voice and everyone started to laugh.
"What is so funny?" asked Aneel.
"Bhai mere! ( My brothet) this was just a plan so that you both have the courage to say this to us and for Hasti to accept that she likes you. I knew from the start you liked her so why would i even marry Hasti " said Afzan and hugged Aneel.
"I had heard you and Hasti talking and then I forced Hayat to tell me everything and when she told me about it, I knew Hasti would never agree so we had to plan this out and it worked out." said Kayan and placed his hand on Hasti's head.
"But now I want to know your story, what exactly happened in college. " said Kayan and looked towards Hasti and Aneel.
"Zyada mat pakaana ha. 2 line mai khatam karo. (Dont bug us. Just finish it off in 2 lines. ) said Afzan and everyone laughed.

Aneel and Hasti were good friends and were in the same group. Aneel had already told Hasti that he liked her and she said that she too liked him but doesn't feel they can be together. Aneel had already planned about how he would marry Hasti but then everything changed. One fine day Hasti came to college along with her so called father to the principal and the last thing I heard from Hasti was, " I am going forever. I will miss you"
