Thirty One

We had ran for a while now. And we still have no idea where we are.

We are by some woods but we don't dare to go there, unless it's necessary. Or at least that's what he said.

I kept an eye on Luke the whole time. He freaks me out, wouldn't you be freaked out and paranoid?

I keep hearing Jai's voice, I must be very paranoid.

"Got any money on you?" Luke asked.

"All I have is like ten dollars, But I'm saving them if we really need something important later on" I answer.

"Fuck!" I hear him mutter .

"Do you not have any left?" I ask.

"I had it in my wallet but it got stolen"

I sigh. Okay, well this will be a struggle without money, and without food.

We walked for another half an hour until we got to a small town and walked into a gas station. Luke kept eying me. I got a bit paranoid.

"Ask the guy for a bathroom, if they have one tell him to show it to you, I'll wait for you outside"

"What?!" I was confused.

"Do it!" He said firmly. "trust me on this" He said a bit nicer. I nodded my head and did what he said.

"Excuse me" I walked over to the counter. Luke walked out the little shop.

"Yes" He looked at me suspicious. I smiled at him.

"Sorry to bother you but by any chance do you have a bathroom?" I asked him with pleading eyes.

"It's not for customers" He said.

"Please. We are lost and I can't take it any longer"

He sighs. "alright. here follow me. Please be quick cause of my boss comes in he can get mad" He says

"Thank you so much" I smile at him. He walks to the back of the store so I follow him.

I actually had to us it so I did my business. I washed my face because it looked nasty. I walked out two minutes later. The guy was there waiting. He walked back and locked the back door.

"Thank you" I said and walked out the shop.

I looked for Luke but I didn't see him.

I should've seen this coming, he left me here alone. Great! Just fucking great.

"Miss me?" Someone whispered in my ear from behind.

"You fucking shit! Don't ever do that! I thought you had fucking left me here alone" I hit his shoulder.

He laughed and grabbed my hand and continued walking, but this time walking even faster.

"Chill! We don't want to get tired" I try to slow us down but he doesn't stop.

"We want to be in a different town when they find out that I stole some things from there" he laughed and showed me his bag.

I was shocked and looked at his face to make sure he wasn't joking.

Actually this doesn't surprise me at all. Coming from Luke, not really.

"You fucking ass, you should've told me your plan"

"If I did, would you have gone with it? No you wouldn't have" he laughed.

"True"

I felt guilty, very guilty.
