Laura's POV

Just as I started to eat, Jordan sat down in front of me and Emma next to me.

I looked suspiciously between them, „What are you guys up to ?"

Jordan looked at me before his eyes wandered somewhere else and he smirked.

I furrowed my brows, „Can you please tell me w-..", I trailed off before I saw Dave and Ross sit down at our table.

They're not really doing it, I mean, they wouldn't..

„I hope coach will be in a good mood today.", I heard Ross continue to talk to Dave as they sat down. They were having a conversation about football as I suppose.

„Laura.", Jordan started, „Remember the guy I told you about ?"

I furrowed my brows, „What g-"

„You're talking about the handsome one, right ?", Emma gushed, making Dave look into her direction with a raised eyebrow.

Emma quickly flashed him a smile, „Even though he's not as handsome as my boyfriend."

I rolled my eyes at her playfully but before I could even say anything, Jordan continued, „He wanted your number on the last party, should I give it to him ?"

This time, Ross looked over to Jordan with a raised eyebrow.

I looked between Ross and Jordan, „My-my number ?"

„You wanna see a picture of him again ?", he said while taking out his phone, „I mean, you could also follow his Instag-.."

„Jordan, can you ring my phone ?", Ross suddenly asked.

„Your phone ? Have you lost it ?", Jordan asked in return.

„Uh, I guess so.", Ross simply stated.

„What are you talking about ? It's in your jeans pocket as always.", Dave said chuckling before turning to Ross, having eye contact with him, making him lose his smile instantly.

„Whatever, here's his pic-..", Jordan started again.

„Should we take a picture ?", Ross requested.

„All of sudden ?", Emma said, trying not to sound amused.

„Uh, yeah. I mean, why not ?"

Just as Jordan was about to show his screen to me, Ross spoke up again, „Let's use your phone, Jordan."

„Why my phone ?"

„Uh, your camera's really good, isn't it ?"

„We own the same phone, Ross."

„Y-yeah but my storage is full."

Jordan smirked before nodding, „Sure, why not.", handing his phone to Ross after opening the camera.

I saw Emma show Jordan a thumb up while giggling and Jordan nodded with a smirk.

I looked puzzled between them before I got a notification on my phone. It was a message from Jordan:

It's just a matter of time before Ross makes his move 🙃

I glanced at Ross. What if he really does ?

I still don't know if I'm ready to be in a relationship yet..

I don't want to jump into one just because I feel attracted to him... I'm afraid that I will ruin everything.

We've both suffered in the past, so what if I can't be of any help ? I don't want him to suffer twice just because I still couldn't fully move on.

I hate him. I hate Alec for making me feel this way, even one year after it. Will I be able to move on ? The trust I had lost in him.. Will I be able to trust anyone like him again, without being disappointed ?

I looked at Ross. Has he moved on ? I mean he has been in relationships afterwards, even though none of them were serious.

Seeing the ones that made you suffer do just fine in life is really nerve wrecking.

What did we do to deserve this ? Giving your all to someone who didn't think even blink before breaking your heart.

It really made me wonder what would've happened if I didn't go to visit him abroad. Would he have cheated on me behind my back and moved on without telling me ?

There were indeed signs of him not being a good person.. Even the smallest details made a big impact on me, which I only later realised.

Like him not allowing me to wear certain things or go out with whoever I want..

The irony, am I right ?

Him cheating on me even though he's set up all those rules for me.. I really hate him.

I also hate myself for letting him have that impact on me.
