Laura's POV

As soon as the bell rang, I left my stuff with Maia and ran to the girl's toilet.

I had to go to the toilet really urgent but the teacher didn't let me... isn't that a basic human right ?

As I closed the door I heard some girls coming in.

"Did you hear ? Ross Lynch is going out with Laura."

Since I was finished, I was about to unlock the door but paused.

"Laura ? As in Laura Marano ? What would he want from a girl like her ?", she said in a pejorative tone.

,A girl like her' ?

Is she serious ?

"I know right ?", I heard the water tap open, "It's been a while since he had a girlfriend though.. like a few months ?"

"I guess so.. It probably will only last like two weeks anyways.", she laughed, "Like the other ones."

I rolled my eyes while pressing my lips into a thin line annoyed.

Who are they to talk about me like that ?

"You know what Ross is famous for ?", the girl asked before she continued, "Having a bad temper."

Bad temper ? Ross ?

"You're totally right.", she sighed, "I wonder how long he'll keep Laura as a girlfriend..."

Okay, that was it.

I opened the door and as soon as I stepped out, the girls looked at me from the mirror before glancing at each other.

I nonchalantly washed my hands and dried them before turning towards them to see that one of them was wearing a pullover which said 'feminism' on it.

I laughed dryly, "Feminism ? Will be hard for you to support with an attitude like that.", I stated before adding, "Don't go around spreading groundless rumors like that. You also wouldn't like it if someone talked about you like that."

I than went out of the bathroom while shaking my head to myself to myself.

I mean, yes; I did expect something like this to happen since I know Ross' reputation in school. But still.

But I shouldn't care about what others think since I know Ross is not like that.

I stepped outside to the schoolyard and ran a hand through my hair frustrated.

Why would anyone intentionally try to make people feel bad about themselves ?

I sighed before taking my phone out my phone to see that I got a message from Maia.

We're sitting on the benches

I looked around before I spotted Emma and Maia.

I walked over to them and stood in front of the bench when Emma started talking, "Aren't you cold in that ?"

"Huh ?", I said before looking down on myself to realize that I forgot to put my jacket on.

I guess I totally forgot after the incident in the toilet.

I saw Emma looking behind me and smiling brightly while waving. Just as I was to turn around I felt a hand slip into mine. I didn't even have to look up to see who it was.

"What should we do on the holidays ?", Dave asked before sitting down next to Emma.

Jordan shrugged, "Don't really know, we'll probably find something fun to do."

I felt Ross rubbing my arm slowly and looked up at him, "Where's your jacket ?", he asked.

I gave him a small smile, "I forgot to put it on."

He shook his head and smirked, "I'm starting to think you're doing this on purpose", before adding, "It's not only my jackets you keep this time though."

I hit his chest, making him laugh and pulling me closer towards him.

"You used to hate people who are affectionate in public.", Dave stated while shaking his hair slowly and turning to Emma, "Love changes people."

Emma nodded while winking at me, "I totally agree with that."

"Oh, shut up.", Ross joked.

I rolled my eyes before I noticed that Ross was starting to take off his jacket and stopped him, "We'll be going inside for the next class now anyways, no need.", I reassured him.

He took my hand, "We'll be going inside, guys.", before turning around and leading me with him.

Just when we stepped into the school he stopped and turned towards me, "Is everything okay ?"

I blinked at him, trying to understand how in the world he found out I had something on my mind and nodded, "Yes, I mean.. why would I not be ?"

He squeezed my hand lightly and looked at our hands for a moment before looking up at me again, "I thought that... maybe the reputation I had in school may have a negative influence on our relationship.", he spoke and I smiled at him.

"You know...", I started before stepping closer and wrapping my arms around him, "Why should I mind people talking when I'm happily in a relationship ?"

I felt him putting his arms around me, "Are you sure ? I mean-"

I pulled away slightly and tiptoed, kissing his cheek. "Yes."

He looked at me for a while before I realized that his cheeks were getting flushed. "No, right ? It can't be.."

"What ?"

I cupped his face and and giggled before speaking up, "You're blushing.", I stated and he widened his eyes.

"No, I'm not.", he stated while looking away.

I beamed at him, "Yes, you are.", while still cupping his face with my hands.

He suddenly looked me in the eyes again and we stared at each other for a second before he suddenly leaned forward and kissed me.

I stood there shocked for a second before pulling away, "What are you doing ?!", I hissed at him while looking around.

"Who's blushing now ?", he grinned while holding me in his grip and putting a hand on my cheek.

I hit his arm embarrassed and glared at him, "I'm just blushing because I'm embarrassed. Don't misunderstand.", I told him while getting out of his grip.

"Oh, is that so ?", he said while stepping closer, making me step a step back into the corner. "Why don't we take it a step further and..", he started before I pushed him away and escaped from the corner.

I turned my head back to him and stuck my tongue out in a playful manner, "You should try control yourself around me, Lynch.", I commented before turning around.

I heard him chuckle before saying, "Seems impossible for me."
