Laura's POV

"Seems like you and Ross get along better now.", Maia pointed out as I got back into our tent.

I rolled my eyes, "I mean his best friend is dating our best friend. We have to somehow try to get along, don't we ?"

Maia shrugged smiling, "I mean sure, you could say it like that."

I once again rolled my eyes before throwing a pillow on her, "Whatever, just keep on reading your book."

She suddenly stopped smiling and looked at me seriously, "Laura, have you ever considered dating again after that incident ?", she paused before continuing, "I mean are you ready for one ?"

I shrugged before letting myself fall onto the blankets and looking up, "I really don't know.. I guess I would think about something like that when the time comes."

"The time hasn't come yet ?", Maia asked, not hiding her surprised tone.

I furrowed my eyes confused, "No... is there anyone I don't know about?"

"Well.. I don't know, you tell me."

"There isn't much to tell honestly..", I replied.

"Alright, whatever makes you sleep at night..", she trailed off before adding, "Oh yes, I meant to ask this since the party; You know how you told us that you ran into Alec at that party on Saturday ?"

"Yeah, what about it ?", I asked.

"Did Ross and you talk about it ?", she questioned out loud.

"About what ?"

"The kiss.", she stated.

I rolled onto my stomach and shook my head, "No we didn't, I mean we already agreed on acting like nothing has happened."

"You sure about that ? I mean you did kiss him out of the blue.. I was afraid that you guys would be awkward around each other after that.", she said.

I shook my head once again, "No, you know how he is. He's a player, he wouldn't make a big deal out of a kiss.", I clarified.

She looked at me and than raises her eyebrows while turning her attention back to her phone, "Him staring at your lips tells me otherwise..", she mumbled.

"What ?"

"Oh, no, nothing.", she said and smiled at me. "We will go back tomorrow, right ?"

I nodded while eyeing her suspiciously, "Yes."

"That's great. The bugs here are starting to get on my nerves.", she said relieved.

I gave her a slight smile, "Don't overreact, drama queen."

"Whatever.", she mumbled before throwing her pillow in my direction.

I laughed before she pointed out, "There's a game this Friday, you know that, right ?"

I stopped laughing and put my hand over my mouth out of surprise, "Right."

"You didn't forget, did you ? I mean they're playing against Jefferson High.", Maia said.

Right... Jefferson High. The school Alec used to go to.

"You're gonna be there, right ?"

I nodded while smiling slightly, "Of course, how could I miss that... I know how important that game is to Lucas and Jordan."

"Amazing, we'll go together than !!", she squealed excited.
