"Well, Malak, look at the bright side," Lee was trying to convince her, "this way you can tell us about all the scheduled prefect rounds so we will never get caught."

"Lee, please, you are not honestly trying to convince me this is good" Malak retorted. "I have to take orders from Mr. Percy Head Boy all year!"

"Yeah, that sucks..." he trailed off. "I've heard the bathrooms are nice, so that's something to look forward to."

"AND... you can give us points" Fred started. "Mr. Weasley, great job, five points for Gryfindor – Nice shoes Ms. Spinnet, five points for Gryffindor" he teased.

"Seriously!? I have ethics!"

"Yes, seriously!" George answered this time, "whatever we lose at Potions you give it back."

"I ALWAYS get your Potions points back" the Egyptian witch reminded them. "I need to get going, I think the meeting is about to start."

"Good luck!"

"Five points for Gryffindor" Malak winked, laughing as she left the compartment.

"YES!!" the laughs of her friends resonated.

Malak entered the prefect's cabin, to find everybody was already there. She was the last one to arrive. Wow, another great start for Malak Aboul Gheit, she thought to herself.

"Malak! Nice of you to decide to join us!" Percy Weasley was annoyed, "about time, don't you think?"

"It's the jetlag, Percy" she excused herself "I am used to Egypt's time, sorry guys."

"Ok, let's start" Penelope Clearwater, Head Girl began speaking.

Meanwhile Percy had positioned himself next to Malak, to whisper discreetly in her ear "Egypt is two hours ahead, Gheit. Busted!"

This is going to be a long year.

She tried to concentrate, but the prefects' work was so incredibly boring that she began to fall asleep. Until the train suddenly came to a halt. Nobody spoke at the compartment.

"What now, Head Boy?" she asked Percy.

"I am going to speak to the driver," he announced as he stormed out.

It was suddenly cold. Malak was already dreading the arrival to Hogwarts; she did not like the weather at all. Her mind was already longing for her beloved Egyptian climate.
